hazyjane ci thursday june 19th

Woke up a half hour earlier than my alarm so I feel good today, did some writing, HP, exercise, walked dogs. Now finishing my breakfast and deciding what to do next.

  • Get my daughter's bedroom cleared out for thorough cleaning:
  • putting EVERYTHING (that isn't rubbish) into bin bags
  • then clearing and cleaning surfaces
  • then hoovering and mopping floor
  • Also need to put on laundry (anticipate finding a lot of dirty clothes in teenage bedroom)
  • And take some time out to look after my back: semi-supine for twenty (or 15) minutes.

Also have to pick up my bike, get some shopping, get to meeting. And walk dogs again. And bath.

Maintenance tasks, do what works for me and be aware of my thoughts

“Much more surprising things can happen to anyone who, when a disagreeable or discouraged thought comes into his mind, just has the sense to remember in time and push it out by putting in an agreeable, determinedly courageous one. Two things cannot be in one place.”Frances Hodgson Burnett,The Secret Garden

Surrender Tuesday, June 17, 2014         Master the lessons of your present circumstances.
We do not move forward by resisting what is undesirable in our life today. We move forward, we grow, we change by acceptance.
Avoidance is not the key; surrender opens the door.
Listento this truth: We are each in our present circumstances for a reason. There is a lesson, a valuable lesson that must be learned before we can move forward.
Something important is being worked out in us, and in those around us. We may not be able to identify it today; but we can know that it is important. We can know it is good.
Overcome ot by force, overcome by surrender. The battle is fought, and won, inside ourselves. We must go through it until we learn, until we accept, until we become grateful, until we are set free.
Today,I will be open to the lessons of my present circumstances. I do not have to label, know, or understand what I'm learning; I will see clearly in time. For today, trust and gratitude are sufficient. From The Language of Letting Go by Melody Beattie

Delayed start - but just warming up!

I admit that I am powerless over my procrastination and debt and that my life had become unmanageable.  I came to believe that a Power greater than myself could restore me to sanity and I made a decision to turn my will and my life over to the care of God. I humbly ask God to remove my shortcomings. I pray constantly and unceasingly only for knowledge of God's will for me today and the power to carry that out.

Its not about the tasks - its about listening to the moment and going with the flow of the spirit - today and NOW.

So.- bad case of insomnia last night, got up to watch the opening world cup match (0500 my time) then had to go back to bed, only got up at 11!

Showered, healthy b'fast, read/pray, Pro anon - admittedly slightly longer trawling/posting on this site today.
