Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
I am crawling to you all humbly to confess my fears and actions - after such a relief and high of passing that exam 2 weeks ago, I am fearful and anxious and procrastinating like never before for this next exam in only 3 weeks - -
I have been so anxious and not sleeping that I actually called in sick today as virtually no sleep - not my brightest moment by far but the honest truth and I need to be honest with myself and others for this to change.
I choose to let go of my time and my self pity and self indulgence - I choose to give up my will to God as he did; I choose to let go.
Slept in, healthy b'fast, reflection , rang bank to check fees (btw 2 payments from completely debt free!!!)
Then wham bam - internet vortex!!! So ashamed - but no more!
Each moment at a time. The Devine moment is now.
I will commit to spending rest of day in chat room with timer and past q's only !! I will not go on any other website. If I need a rest it will be a nap, walk or reflection.
Firstly congratulations on being two pays away debt free. WELL DONT!! What an achievement!
I think at times when we clear one big hurdle ( like exam) it can feel almost like at those times i can get overwhemed and fearful especially with lots going on. Soi get it completely. it has been a long road to here and you must be tired but you are nearly there and i know this will all make you an even better physican than you ALREADY are now!
You can do this. that old saying the darkest hour s right before dawn is so true. you are nearly nearly there. one little bit after another little bit. make sure to rest, excercise and take breaks and breaths of fresh air in between study sessions. it makes sense you are anxious-acknowledge this and be kind to yourself and look back at all you have achieved.
We are cheering you on! big hugs and ill be thinking of you.

Because the forum is broken and nobody can start new threads,
one member ("Lucky") suggested -- that we keep using
the last functional daily check-in thread here (March 17, 2014),
... so that's what we've been doing. March 17th thread link: http://procrastinators-anonymous.org/node/5228
We're referring to this as the "Ongoing Daily Check-in Thread" --
(even though we cannot change it's name and it still *appears* to be a March 17th thread).
It's over 18 pages long, but it seems to be working fine.
The existing "progress not perfection" threadstarter seems appropriate. :)
Occasionally people have posted images or quotes, just to add morale/inspiration to the thread,
but this is primarily a check-in thread. Use it in whatever way works for you.
I realize you didn't see the notification because you've been away. That's okay. Welcome back!
I see you tried posting on an August 2013 thread as a "work-around" ....
but since we've chosen to stay over here at March 17th,
you might want to join us here on the continuous March 17th thread instead.
There is more info here on how to navigate the broken forum
with meeting updates, website malfunction/repairs status,
and other ideas/options/suggestions for posting, etc. at this link: http://procrastinators-anonymous.org/node/4301#comment-65556
Maintenance tasks, do what works for me, think good thoughts “all action is born in thought, life is reflection of thinking”“Life is a process--just one thing after another. When you lose it, just start again.”― R.Carlson
WednesdayAugust 27, 2014, The Language of Letting Go by Melody Beattie, Procrastination
Procrastination - not acting when the time is right - is a self-defeating behavior. It produces anxiety, guilt, disharmony, and a nagging consciousness of the task that life is telling us it's time to do.We are not always procrastinating when we put off doing something. Sometimes, doing a thing before the time is right can be as self-defeating as waiting too long.
We can learn to discern the difference. Listen to yourself. Listen to the Universe. What is past due and creating anxiety and prodding within you?Is there something in your life you are avoiding because you don't want to face it? Is there a building anxiety from putting this off? Sometimes anger, fear, or feeling helpless can motivate procrastination. Sometimes, procrastination has simply become habitual.
Trust and listen to yourself, your Higher Power, and the Universe. Watch for signs and signals. If it is time to do something, do it now. If it is not yet time, wait until the time is right.God, help me learn to be on time and in harmony with my life. Help me tune in to and trust Divine Timing and Order.
Its looking more and more like I might have to move - hopefully not in the next month!! That is unlikely - whatever happens after exams I'm not worried.
However, I have decided to buy a house by the end of the year - I'm determined not to buy or look before next exam but might mean I have to store stuff for a bit until can find a place to buy.
One thing I can do to help this process is to get my tax return done to boost my deposit.
So not today but on wed night and Thurs am to get tax stuff ready.
