I've got to finish my assignment today, it has to happen, I can't delay any longer, or mess about... I seem to have some sort of congenital issue with finishing things as close to the deadline as possible, but i hate it, it's really making me unhappy (and I want to turn it around!!! Help me HP!!!!)

Also have the dentist at 11 am. So, get up, morning routine, walk dogs, library, dentist, library. Be dogged, be determined, be focused and FINISH!!!!

And then start the next one(s) without further delay.

I have to eat the frog!!!! Am writing this at 5am because I got woken up, I thought I'd work for a bit but my resistance is enormous and it's so painful!!! However, I really have nowhere else to go with this. Painful and difficult though it is, I know I can do enough, and perseverance is the key. So, back to sleep, and when I get up in a few hours, zero tolerance for distraction (I say this but do I mean it???)...

The last few hours of 2014! (whew)

Well time is up for me, quite literally. I have only WEEKS to get myself a job to be okay in February. I intend to utilize my time much better starting Jan 1st (not perfect, just better). 

God help us! :D

I feel ready to go, after 3 months of focusing on other things. There's no time left, the jig is up!!!!

Just reading Odette's post underneath and thinking the same, need to get this DONE!!! But I have a few more days before my deadline, which is just as well :). I still need to work though, and focus, and be a bit smarter about my method.

I wrote a big long list to help me get on/stay on track and I'm already diverging from it. Help!!!! Chatbox here I come.

I am working on a project that requires a lot of time, and I can't do standard pomodoros. But I absolutely have to have this done by 12/31/14.

For tomorrow:

  • Finish SOF (however long that takes; ideally spend no more than 30 minutes)
  •  1 hour on rule statements
  • 1 hour on research/copy and pasting applicable material from website
  • 1 hour on writing illustrations
  • 1 hour on polishing up citations

December 27, 2014 - Chatty

Okay, I learned a lot from yesterday's to do list. I honestly worked it from the minute I woke up until  7 p.m., when I quit due to 1) fatigue 2) I was just out of time 3) the remainder of the tasks were not possible for one reason or another (vacuum literally broke while I was using it and by the time I finished taking my son shopping and cooking dinner, it was 7 and freezing outside - not the environment for training).  So, I put too many tasks on the list and did not use my time wisely. Could have trained in the morning and did the clothes at night (this way, weather would not have become a factor). There were 2 tasks on there (contact C & N) that could have been done while multitasking. I felt a dread whenever the oppt presented itself and realized that I must not really want to contact C & N and that it is more of a self-imposed arbitrary obligation that I don't want to do.

Today's list

  • Train with G (min. 1 hour)
  • Floor exercises/stretches

 

  • Design garden
  • Prepare/work garden
  • Plant seeds in kit

 

  • Buy vacuum - doesn't have to be me that does this
  • Buy carpet strip - doesn't have to be me that does this
  • Spot clean
  • Clean both bathrooms
  • Remove Christmas tree - doesn't have to  be me that does this
  • Living room
  • Vacuum under bed (if possible)

I'm back in my friend's flat to work (he's away, the idea is the solitude will help me focus...), am reading a book, not entirely unrelated to my essay but it'll probably take me all day to read it, and it might not be the most effective use of my time... However, that's what I appear to be doing...

I will also try and find more material on the two productions I plan to use as case studies, see if it's possible to watch videos of them online.

My friend invited me out tonight, I think I ought to go, because fun is also needed, but am so anxious about the work I need to get done that I might say I can't go. Which really should give me an incentive to get something done!!!! Then I could go out as a reward...
