Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
So I missed my morning run again this morning... I was sick recently for a fortnight (yuk) and since I got better I have failed to get back into my morning exercise.. and I'm feeling it... I need to make the effort to get up that hour earlier and hit the track...
In other matters, I'm realizing that my main challenge in overcoming procrastination - at work at least - isn't so much getting through a checklist of things 'to do' as it is avoiding time wasting... I'm thinking, for this reason, that I should give myself a 'grade' each day at the end of the working day, to assess my level of focus and keep myself accountable...
Just start somewhere, anywhere and stop being so harsh to yourself all the time. It is not OK to keep comparing yourself to this ideal, that person, that externally driven idea of what is acceptable. Live your life and do your work. That is the only thing you can do. Endless berating of yourself will not help you. You must forgive yourself and let it go. You are good enough.
I am good enough.
I am capable. I am a good person, even if I did no work at all. But I choose to do some.
"The great benefit of the wise fool's antics and observations is that hey stimulate our thinking. They jolt us in the same way that a splash of cold water awakens us when we are drowsy.
Question: Where has "thinking like a wise fool" helped you look at a problem in a helpful way?"
So I made it through the few points on my to-do list yesterday, though my performance in avoiding time-wasting at work was not perfect. I did well, but not well enough...

In honor of the fact that
this March 17th (St. Patrick's Day) thread
is continuing onwards into April ...
May we receive the blessings we need
instead of what we *think* we need.
I havent been big on using the daily checklist threads on the site, but I'm thinking I should give it a go. It's a shortish list today, but number 2 - no time wasting - i an all-day endeavor!

Due to the current technical glitch ... in addition to not being able to start any new threads ... We cannot edit the existing thread-starters either.

And we *can* edit our own replies to threads (as long as our replies haven't received replies).
