One small step is not just much more than nothing,
it is infinitely  more

And the task that seems infinite ... is finite.

Help me find the courage  and faith
to start   and to  keep going.

LizzieT's Saturday, and Thanks Chickadee

I love this thread starter.  Thank you.

I don't yet have a New Year's resolution (I rarely make them), but one might be to take time to NOT be productive.  It is Saturday.  In a way, I want to choose not to be productive today.  On the other hand, if I get some stuff done, I know I will feel better and happier, and my life will be more pleasant.  So what will make me happier today?

Get some exercise--it is turning warm outside, so a run would be nice

Do some paying work

Pick up the office

Write to a few people who have sent me greetings:

This is hard, so I'll definitely need to plan it and use the chatbox as support.

And that's it!  Relax, Read.  Maybe see a movie?

11:22am : it's been 12 hours since i last went off plan. That's because my plan was to spend the day with family, go to sleep, sleep til i wake up. And i've been on plan this morning, which is the harder part.

Today is filled with activities that i dont have a choice about, so i dont need to exercise my discipline muscle. That's why it's so important to check in here, to get this little bit. I am asking God to be with me today.

Edge's CI - 10:40am

It's rediculous how anxious I get at the prospect of having to get dressed to meet people. Family is coming over for breakfast and everything is ready except for me. They'll be here in 10 minutes and I can't get over the stress of having to choose somethign to wear, probably because I've neglected my wardrobe so much that all I do I have are things that I'm not very satisfied with. Add to the mix the fact that the we're running out of water so now much-needed shower for me until the municipality comes through for us tonight, AND the miserable detail of me struggling with PMS and other self-image issues at the moment, it's probably no wonder I'm this stressed.

So yes, that's 5 minutes before everyone gets here. Going to make do with what I have and get ready. Wish I could hide in my room and pretend I'm not here until they're all gone.

Brunch with family is done, went and picked up my new sweatshirt, going to clean room then do dishes, and check if there's enough water for a load of laundry and later a shower.

EleanorBE - back after Christmas. Saturday List.

Hi All. Hope everyone who celebrates it had a fantastic Christmas and that everyone else had a fantastic Last Tuesday. I've been on holiday from work, doing things I like to do and so don't put off - e.g. wrapping up presents and cooking, opening presents and eating! Am on holiday til 3rd Jan but it's still time to check in, get started on recovering from a very indulgent time and do  some domestic things. So, thanks for starting, movingalong.

Saturday goes -

- Eat healthy food and drink water (was going to put - no chocolate, no cake, no wine - but that sounded a bit negative).

- Clear out clothes cupboard and put stuff aside to sell/give to charity shop.

- Start on clearing out home office: do superficial clear up so it looks less daunting. Plan the rest of the clear out and how it'll work over the next couple of weeks.

- Text F re. 16th.
