Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference
Following on from the discussion in the thread here, I though I'd offer a temporary workaround to not being able to create new threads and the unmanageabity of such a long 17th March thread, by recycling the thread from exactly on year ago to use for each daily check-in. Feel free to use whatever system works for you.

"Benefits of Recovery
There are two benefits from recovery: we have short-term gains and long-term gains.
The short-term gains are the things we can do today that help us feel better immediately.
progress is steady, but sometimes slow, happening in increments and
often with much forward and backward movement. Enough days at a time of
practicing recovery behaviors and piling up short term gains leads to
Today, I will be grateful for the immediate
and long-term rewards of recovery. If I am new to recovery, I will have
faith that I can achieve the long-term benefits. If I've been recovering

From The Language of Letting Go by Melody Beattie
Budy few days with a late night, then a day conference and dinner and then client visit this morning. This morning was good. My client is a nice guy, he just needs to get some stuff straight.
Today I'm going to cut myself some slack and just get the paperwork straight for now. I have to go out again tonight so a nap is probably in order. Not what I normally do even on my laziest days, but I just don't want to be miserable later for my friend's engagement celebration.
I don't feel like doing anything today however if I want things to change I need to act - so
x Up prayer and reflection
x Check emails and posts
x Make and post this list
x Wash up and tidy up in kitchen
x Put clean clothes away
x Clean kitchen floor
x Clean cooker
Clean doors in flat
x Finish counselling letter + made bundle of papers and posted
xx Check and file banking complaints
xx Check and file new flat todo's for next week
x Out for short walk - don't want to - it was tiring as I've been ill but I'm glad I went
Exercise - don't want to
x Deal with snail mail if/when any comes
Deal with emails through the day
+ sorted recycling
+ sorted and redirected and posted mail
+ posted neighbours mail through their boxes
