Must fix problems on site before adding new members

This site broke in some serious ways when our Web host dropped support for PHP 5.2. I need to resolve these problems before I can admit new members.

Unfortunately, upgrading the site is itself very difficult because of the code errors. I have spent a lot of time working on this problem already and will continue to do so until it's resolved.
