"Life is hard, but
we don't have to make it more difficult by neglecting ourselves. There
is no glory in suffering, only suffering. Our pain will not stop when a
rescuer comes, but when we take responsibility for ourselves and stop
our own pain.
Today, I will be my own rescuer. I will stop waiting for someone else to work through my issues and solve my problems for me."

Happy Friday everyone. Feeling quite anxious about the work still. I have done pretty well the last few days, even though it doesn't feel like enough. I am determined not to let my procras lead me away from work. It's not all pleasant, enjoyable work - but the quicker I do it, the quicker I can move onto something else.
I am early to work because I did not turn my phone on, or use the iPad. Just listened to the radio and ate breakfast. That is what I need to do to get to work at a good hour.
some household chores before work & on train (hang up laundry, take glass to recycling container, mend t-shirt)
productive workday (better than yesterday, but could still be better)
clean stairs (not a joke - still paint spots & 2 cm of dirt + dust on it from renovating, which was weeks ago) (Not finished, but did the 20% that make the 80% difference. I want to continue tomorrow, but if I don't, the neighbours will survive now. Too late in the evening to continue now.)
dishes
unpack bag, clear table
clear desk as far as possible today (the famous stack of papers one should do something about, file away, or throw away) (desk not completely cleaned but worked steadily and got a bunch done)
