Welcome to a brand new day, everyone. May you move with ease and find contentment when it is done.

tracy-la check in 3/12 - clarity and direction

Checking in at end of day.

READING FOR DAY

Clarity and direction

In spite of our best efforts to work our programs and lean on Higher Power's guidance, we sometimes don't understand what's going on in our life. We trust, wait, pray, listen to people, listen to ourselves, and the answer still does not come.

During those times, we need to understand that we are right where we need to be, even though that place may feel awkward and uncomfortable. Our life does have purpose and direction.

We are being changed, healed, and transformed at levels deeper than we can imagine. Good things, beyond our capacity to imagine, are being prepared and brought to us. We are being led and guided.

We can become peaceful. We do not have to act in haste or urgency just to relieve our discomfort, just to get an answer. We can wait until our mind is peaceful. We can wait for clear direction. Clarity will come.

The answer will come, and it will be good for us and those around us.

Today, Higher Power, help me know I am being guided into what's good about life, especially when I feel confused and without direction. Help me trust enough to wait until my mind and vision are clear and consistent. Help me know that clarity will come.

Kawaiineko's Check-in Tuesday 12 March 2013

I am learning to establish a routine which is something I have not placed any importance on up until now. I realise routine helps to make us organised and more in control.

Make coffee and breakfast.

Wash face and clean teeth.

Send email.

Work out topic. Been spending some time on this and will allow a full week so I know exactly where I'm going.

Make dinner for two nights.

Clean cutlery: Mañana

clement ci - day 122 attempting abstinence, 42 from self

Abstinence from unplanned time.

  • The one thing, the only thing, i can do impulsively is write something on my todo list.
  • The one thing, the only thing, i can do off plan is recovery, something to maintain my sobriety. I have come to believe that it is more important to maintain sobriety than to get things done.

Abstinence from relying on self.

8:18am : it's been 24hrs 18min since i last went off plan.
It's been 10hrs 18min since i last relied on self.

8:55am : dang i got distracted for 2 min. But it counts.
It's been 3min since i last went off paln.
It's been 10hrs 55min since i last relied on self.

"complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being full in full accord and of one mind." - Philippians 2:2

While that is a beautiful call to unity among mankind, by reading everything else paul, who wrote this, wrote, it's clear that he is calling the christians in Philippi to unity around the one Truth as well. It is not be united among your many diverse beliefs, which it might seem like, reading this verse out of context, but be united having one mind on the same belief: that God sacrificed himself that we could be free to serve only Good (with two 'o's) all the days of our life.

10:26pm : it's been...not sure..30 min or so since i last went off plan.
Not sure about relying on self. I was nervous a few times today. I got too caught up. Tomorrow i will stop and pray whenever i have a minute to myself. That's how god is transforming me.

THINGS I DID WELL TODAY

worked very very hard a client. was well prepared. was on time. charged enuf. gave myself a break when i was beat when i came home.

THINGS I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER

got distracted a few times in the morning and in the evening.
I trusted the tech on the phone rather than my own instincts. I was right, tech was wrong. God i need you to help guide me in these judgement call situations. I pray i can do a great job tomorrow for this client. Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven. I can't wait to get to heaven, btw.

I also didnt have enuf energy for my wife. Maybe u could help me there, too, God?

THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR

The book of Philippians in the Bible, so rich, so positive so hopeful, such great phrases and ideas, it's a feast for the mind.

the fun ppl in chat. altho they can be distracting, they lift my spirits!
