If you don't believe you can do something, pretend to be someone who can.

Welcome to a new week, everyone.

READING FOR DAY

Timing

If we could untangle the mysteries of life and unravel the energies which run through the world; if we could evaluate correctly the significance of passing events; if we could measure the struggles, dilemmas, and aspirations of mankind, we could find that nothing is born out of time. Everything comes at its appointed moment.
—Joseph R. Sizoo

Timing can be frustrating. We can wait and wait for something to happen, and it seems to be forever until it comes to pass. Or, suddenly, an event or circumstance is thrust upon us, catching us by surprise. Believing that things happen too slowly or too quickly is an illusion. Timing is perfect.

Today, I will trust and work with Divine Order. I will accept the timing in my life today and in my past as being perfect.

@crazybug

Well done Crazybug for checking in - I know what a big step this is when you are feeling paralysed - do remember to to pat yourself on the back for every step you take, even if it is brushing one tooth.

Cheers

Mole

Crazybug CI 3:44 pm

Still struggling to get even the most basic tasks done (like brushing teeth). Did a lot of journal reading last week about the topic of 'paralysis of the will'. Mostly it pertained to those who have add/adhd. Not sure that I exactly got much out of the reading as I'm still feeling paralyzed.

I am just checking in, because it's something positive I could do in this moment. I will next try to do one 25 minute session on page 1. Will try white noise to see if it helps.

kromer 10:30 CI

Today I have a bunch of tiny tasks and a few big ones:
Tiny tasks:
*Get files from R (talked to R--he's too busy to do this today, but he'll do it by the end of the week)
*Email + cal

*Watch video
*Get R8 tags
*Collect R8
*Request B6
*mousey comments

*talk about scheduling
*email M&K
*intro followup
*Email J
*Email agamatrix
*Email D
*career ctr email

*Take student to appt
*Email TE

Larger tasks:
Finish discussion
Start P/B (made some progress on this but not as much as I'd hoped)
Accounting(made some progress on this)

I won't  necessarily get through all of them, but I will try to do at least half of these tasks.

Vic3/11/13

show up (done), plan, exer thanks for starter Mole, exactly where I am today:so grateful I have a "place" to connect regardless of... and then move on and try to "act as if"

"Don't stop living your life!
So
often, when a problem occurs, inside or around us, we revert to
thinking that if we put our life on hold we can positively contribute to
the solution.
Abandoning our life or routines contributes to the problem and delays us from finding the solution.

Frequently,
the solution comes when we let go enough to live our life, return to
our routine, and stop obsessing about the problem.
Sometimes,
even if we don't feel like we have let go or can let go, we can act as
if we have, and that will help bring about the letting go we desire.

You
don't have to give up your power to problems. You can take your focus
off your problem and direct it to your life, trusting that doing so will
bring you closer to a solution.

Today,
I will go on living my life and tending to my routine. I will decide,
as often as I need to, to stop obsessing about whatever is bothering me.
If I don't feel like letting go of a particular thing, I will act as if
I have let go of it until my feelings match my behavior."

clement ci - day 121 attempting abstinence, 41 from self

Abstinence from unplanned time. The one thing, the only thing, i can do impulsively is write something on my todo list. I have come to believe that it is more important to maintain sobriety than to get things done.

Abstinence from relying on self.

8:08am : it's been 8min since i last went off plan, and that was for about 2min, but it counts, cuz it could have been the start of a binge and i need to maintain abstinence. I am still encouraged that before that was a 17hr stint, even tho it ended. Cuz a new one is beginning now. And it's a MONDAY!
It's been 3days 15hrs 38min since i relied on self. Time to start my day following my pre-plan.

10:27pm : it was a very hard day. Filled with temptation. I rarely, if ever, gave in. But i felt the temptation big time. And i felt run down after not giving in all day. Kinda like detox, i think.

THINGS I DID WELL TODAY

twice got overwhelmed, started feeling fear and anxiety, used chat and "15 points for a self-oholic to consider when confronted with the urge to rely on self and not God" to move my focus OFF myself and my circumstances, and ON to God himself.

THINGS I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER

i spent too much time on "job type" vs "service item" in quickbooks. I could have put that off til later, and just done some old thing to get to the next step now. Even if imperfect. Even if it means going thru and changing things later. If i had defered that work, i could have spent more time prepping for client's quickbooks tomorrow. Trust God.

THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR

That, with a plan, when unexpected things happen, i can just adapt. If i can't do the next 4 things on my list, because of legitimate restrictions, i can just do #5, and still be on plan, still accomplishing God's will for me today.

My Faith. It is a gift that God has wrought in me over a decade. I dont have to try, it's just there.

THINGS I DID WELL TODAY

i decided after two hours of work that I was allowed to have a day off. It was a public holiday here and although I am a procrastinator I never give myself time off because imdon't feel I deserve it. Well today I did and I didn't beat myself up about not working. I rested
