READING FOR DAY

Letting Go of Confusion

Sometimes, the way is not clear.

Our minds get clouded, confused. We aren't certain what our next step should be, what it will look like, what direction we are headed.

This is the time to stop, ask for guidance, and rest. That is the time to let go of fear. Wait. Feel the confusion and chaos, and then let it go. The path will show itself. The next step shall be revealed. We don't have to know now. We will know in time. Trust that. Let go and trust.

Today, I will wait if the way is not clear. I will trust that out of the chaos will come clarity.

From The Language of Letting Go by Melody Beattie ©1990,

How very inspirational tracy-la. Thank you for sharing this.

Thanks movingalong! Love that.

In a hazy daze today. A time change on top of PMS. Ugh!

Did some volunteer work, worked on a business plan, reviewed jobs on agency site.

Now getting clarity on calendar, and must work for money, among other things.

Sunday Chatbox 12step mtg now 3:30pm DaylightSavings NewYorkTime

The Sunday chatbox 12step meeting is on UTC/GMT
which means it follows the core world clock
and doesn't shift in and out of Daylight Saving Summer Time.

The effect upon us is that ...
when our local clocks change, the meeting won't follow our clocks.
That means that the meeting time will appear differently on our local clocks.

The Sunday chatbox meeting year-round is at
7:30pm UTC/GMT

In USA/Canada --
that is 3:30 PM Daylight Saving Time
starting Sunday March 10, 2013

As you can see in the post I made below,
clocks change all over the world on different dates.
So we keep the SUNDAY meeting on UTC/GMT.

USA & Canada to DaylightSaving @2:00 am Sunday March 10th, 2013

USA & Canada
to Daylight Saving
@2:00 am Sunday March 10th, 2013

This is for all of USA and Canada
(except for Arizona, Hawaii, and Saskatchewan)

Other countries change clocks
on different dates!

Northern Hemisphere

Middle East and Libya changes clocks to Summer Time
between March 22-31 2013
(check your local rules)

Europe  changes to Summer Time
on Sunday March 31st, 2013

most of Mexico changes to Daylight Saving
on Sunday April 7, 2013

Morocco and Western Sahara change
to Daylight Saving (Summer Time)
on Sunday April 28, 2013

Southern Hemisphere

(Brazil already changed
into Standard time on Feb 17, 2013)

Uruguay changes out of Daylight Saving
and into Standard Time
on Sunday March 10, 2013

and into Standard Time
on Sunday April 7, 2013

Paraguay changes out of Daylight Saving

clement ci - day 120 attempting abstinence, 40 from self

Abstinence from unplanned time. The one thing, the only thing, i can do impulsively is write something on my todo list. I have come to believe that it is more important to maintain sobriety than to get things done.

Abstinence from relying on self.

1:59pm : it's been 8min since i last went off plan.
It's been...got distracted, believe it or not...

2:24pm : It's been 1min since i last went off plan.
It's been 2days 21hrs 53min since i last relied on self.

2:38pm : this line from the hymn this morning at church really struck me: Grace, grace, God's grace, that will pardon and cleanse within. I really like the "cleanse within" part. That resonates with me, as what i yearn for. Also this resonates with me, today's thread starter (thank you movingalong): There was never a night or a problem that could defeat sunrise or hope.

11:05pm : it's been 8h 41min since i last went off plan.
It's been 3days 6hrs 35min since i last relied on self.
And u know what? i have recovery to be BORING BORING BORING BORING.
Maybe that's cuz i'm getting no hit off my dopamine stimulating behaviors. But it kinda sucks, feelings-wise.

THINGS I DID WELL TODAY

stayed on plan pretty much all day.

THINGS I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER

not felt like crap at the end.
Not had a real down, struggling moment from like 1-330. That's not a mistake, but just a defect.

THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR

recovery, even tho it FEELS like it sucks.

the irony of how living the statement "when you make a list an accomplish it, things get done" seems so novel and magical to me.

THINGS I DID WELL TODAY

Managed Pbm better

managed morning well

THINGS I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER

a bit of a blancmange this afternoon, spending a lot of time replacing a phone I had lost and then finding it again, but it wasn't just that I had a heavy dose of procrastination about the jobs I listed . Why? Cc has grown too big. H's explanation of pbm seems to make it even more complicated and I glaze over when I read the instructions What can I do to make them less daunting?  I didn'.t attempt the podcast because I kept thinking I would be interrupted with news about the phone.  I can't think what stopped me from doing the bookings. Perhaps tomorrow I can take some of these things out of the house and do them somewhere else, tho not much open on a public holiday.

THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR

lovely cooler misty weather today.  Walking with B. animated conversation about puppetry and animism with K. Laughing with J. Being calm about the rat the cat brought me this morning. The nice man at the post office when I returned the phone. That the gramophone works after all.
