"Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, come again.
Even if you have broken your vow one thousand times,
Come, yet again, come, come.
Ours is the portal of hope, come as you are."

RisingUp Check-In 2/20 Wed.

Thank you for awesome quote, movingalong :) Reminds me of the love my HP has for me, no matter how much I screw up!

Today is all about getting assignments done. Nothing else. I'm at the library so I'll be able to do it, one little chunk at a time. I never have to do more than 10 minutes at a time on just one little section! That is all. Let's make this easy today. Don't overthink it. Don't think of the big picture. BREAK! IT! DOWN!!! yay ...

I'll post a scripture that helped me yesterday:

"But those who wait on the LORD

Shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

Now that was an example of the kind of waiting that is GOOD! :D

marcelor checking in at 8.50

Today I want to start with what is most important, even if I do just 5 minutes to start. Yesterday I spent the whole day being afraid of the most important task and then when I finally jumped in at the end of the day I realized it was not so bad!

Shower, get dressed - will do this now

Work on most important task, start with 5 minutes right after getting dressed

Lunchtime errands: buy contact solution, mail letter, email M, library

Journey 7:15

Happy Wednesday!   Working from home today, back in the office tomorrow.    I'm up early, and I've already made my todo list and checked email and calendar.  I want to get my exercise, quiet time, and shower done before 9:00 meeting.  I'll check back.

Update 10:15 didn't get the shower before the meeting so heading for shower now!

Update 11:00 5 minutes quiet time, then work one hour on Project M.

Update 1 pm worked on Project M and worked a bit on Project V things that came up.   Will work on Project M for the next half hour until meeting at 1:30, then switch to Project C for a couple of hours.

Update 2:20 Got a lot done on Project M.   Meeting  is wrapping up and I'm switching to Project C for at least one hour.

Update 4:20 worked on Project C but ran into a problem.  Waiting for someone to advise me, and I'll go ahead and work on Project V for a while until that person gets back to me.

It's been since 7:46pm yesterday, so 17h 49min, since i last relied on self. It's easier for me to resist relying on self than to resist going off plan. I like that my habit is to report starting from when things went good again, essentially turning my back on the past sins. It's very forward looking and very hopeful that God can redeem me now, starting this moment, if i let him. And i want to let him.

3:42pm : it's been 1 min since i last went off plan.
It's been 19h 56min since i last relied on self.
Bad day but i'm continually re-trying and staying focused on relying on god, in my sane moments.

Knitfisher's Check In Weds 20th Feb 08:00am

Thank you movingalong for a lovely starter. "Come as you are" The knowledge that we are always welcome no matter what has gone before. No matter what promises have been made and broken. We can come and start afresh. Beautiful.

A bit anxious about having a day where I have to go out in the middle and not getting enough done. Going to see a client at 2pm, although of course that's work too. Trying to banish such negative worries from my mind, and be present in courage to begin and continue.

Today I will:

  • Finish breakfast (10 mins)
  • Put wash on (5mins)
  • Workout (20 mins)
  • Shower (30 mins)
  • Empty DW (5 mins)
  • Process physical inbox GTD (3 poms) done 2/3
  • Process email inbox GTD  (2 poms) easy to do elsewhere if not finished
  • List things needed from S (5m)

I MUST NOT WASTE TODAY!

i didn't do half my list yesterday so am carrying that over, little things i didn't do which i'm going to write down on paper-i'm more likely to remember the little things that way

today i have a clear day and a few large tasks, i've wasted a few hours allready

i think whchever task i choose, paperwork or spareroom decluttering i should focus solely on it. indecision wastes soooo much of my time. yesterday i cleared a whole massive oak bookcase and am pretty pleased with that. the more i do the more i realise has to be done, you lnow the kind of clutter thats been there that long it becomes invisable. i satarted looking with fresh eyes

ok have decided spare room declutter

just having a smoothie then going for it

maybe i'll use timer

it's 7.49 now, will update later

have a great day everyone

11.08 UPDATE  have made a start on spare room. i have 100's of items of clothing to put on ebay......as much as i need the money and sometimes the few quid i make on ebay save my skin...i'm wondering if it's worth it??? should i just sling them!!

have to go to the doc's and do a few jobs now so will have a think about 'the dreaded spare room' or to give it it's precise name JUNK ROOM. it could be a room of use...it could be a home office or art studio or actually 'a spare room' where a guest could sleep intead of the sofa

replies welcome, thanks

17.31 update  did a few little jobs....but havn't gone back to spare room and making a decision about clothes  sling or ebay?

@jay and room dreams

Hello Jay

this sometimes works for me. In the ’junk' room move enough stuff to the side to fit a favourite chair I in, make yourself a cup of tea/ coffee/pour glass of wine (you get the picture), put on favourite music, and spend some time just absorbing the space and its possibilities. Then really decide what it is you would most like that room to be for you. Having a concrete vision makes it much easier, I find, to ge  a sense of the steps needed to get there, and the junk/obstacles instead of being overwhelming become lesser tasks toward that vision.

just a thought
