clement ci - day 91 attempting abstinence, 10 from self

12:02pm : late start. It's been 2 min since i last went off plan. Hard to say since i last relied on self.

Abstinence from unplanned tasks.
Abstinence from relying on self.

If i rely on God and not self, then i dont have bad-guilt when i fail. I just have good-guilt, how-can-i-do-that-better-guilt.

3:12am : it's been hours since i last went off plan. Praise God. I relied on myself in some games we played. But i am very blessed to have this opportunity.

gotmusikk's Friday

OK.  I have been procrastinating a lot lately.  Time to really pay attention to how I feel, so that I engage with my emotions and don't numb them out with procrastination instead.  I need to rely on HP today, and frequently check in.

Progress, not perfection.
Consistency over emergencies.
Do the thing that feels healthy, not "shouldy" or escapist.

Today we're supposed to have a blizzard! So I have only some limited time in lab (though I can work more at home tonight)

Big task is to work on job search:
*Go through ~50 job postings to see what kind of skills are in demand (have gone through about 20)
*Come up with revised draft of resume
*Talk with career center about resume
*Make changes
*Update linkedin profile
*Work on my list of internship ideas, send 3 emails (will do this soon)

I also want to do some small lab tasks:
*Deal w/ blocks, make more reagents

*Scan refs/add to endnote
*Write up notes on liver structure
*Microburst Rara analysis
*Check on expts

If I have time, I would also like to make a little progress on the new discussion and on updating refs (will do this soon), and to call R

Today I will:

  • Pickup prescription for M
  • W work 4 poms (2 hours)

  • Book EBs (for next week?) (2 mins)
  • Also sorted TV licence and council tax form
Later
  • Pay S

WHB: Just one a day
