Unconditional
. . . Love

I feel it in my fingers,
I feel it in my toes.
Love is all around us,
and so the feeling grows.

It's written on the wind,
it's everywhere we go.
So let's be open to it,
we can let Love flow.

(tra la la)

We can live
to the happy sound
of infintite Love
that's all around.

And from the sky
down to the ground,
that great Love is
all around.

(tra la la)

A power deep within us,
we each find in our own truth.
When we stop with all our thinking,
Love heals us from the blues.

Love's singing deep within me,
and in each of you.
We have Love beside us
in everything we do.

(tra la la)

That Love flows within us,
it always will.
Love's bigger than
whatever else we may feel.

There's no beginning,
there'll be no end.
'Cause on Great Love,
we can depend.

(tra la la)

Love flows in every finger,
Love flows in every toe.
So let's be open to it.
Come on and let Love flow.
Come on and let Love flow.
Come on and let Love flow.
Come on and let Love flow.
Come on and let Love flow.

[These are the words I'd like to say to my mom but she and I do not have a relationship in which it is safe for me to communicate with her, so I can't.]

Dear Mom,

I just want you to know that I'm thinking of you tonight and I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas.

Yours truly,

Yours truly

this makes me cry, but then again, it's much worse to be thrown out of my house for no reason by a mother who would willfully and thoughtlessly throw my laundry into the street. I have very real good work to attend to here. I thank my HP that I DO have a safe place to be tonight, even if it's at home with myself. That's okay.

Just got home finally. Going to eat dinner, take vitamins before I walk and/or walk/jog. Still going to do that for thirty minutes and only go online shopping, streaming and looking for Doctor WHo after I have done thirty minutes of Functional and thirty minutes of exercise.

* Super angry at self for being late to work. Going to make a point of waking up at 7am on days that I work, b/c the CTO is really upset with everyone. I just feel better about myself when and if I come on time.

* Going to exercise for thirty minutes again tonight before midnight. I am working up to 2 minutes and 1 minute times ten.

* Going to brush teeth, floss, use listerine before bed, b/c someone gave me a cream puff.

* Going to look at my functional midterm/final tonight before I do any Internet surfing or streaming. My goal is to write down all the proofs I already know, b/c I came to clarity about the proof on Friday night and instead of doign something productive, like jogging and going to bed on time or jogging and looking at functional problem set again, I just surfed the internet or streamed videos or watched Poirot.

'I say, HigherPower I choose to do the next right thing, according to your loving vision for me. This gives me true "empowerment"'.

*I come on time for work everyday. I come on time for meetings and appointments with therapists and doctors (five minutes of leeway here is okay).

*I exercise for thirty minutes in the morning, but bottomline once a day before midnight. I go to the gym at least once a day when it's open, and it's open rarely, so that should be do-able.

*Interviewing for a job at a government agency again, interviewing with an innovative tech company that I have wanted to work for a long time, a company where I believe my ideas will be nurtured and my work will be rewarded. Applying to jobs where I am appreciated, trust my bosses and have faith in what I'm doing helps me to feel optimistic about myself and my abilities.

*I am restarting my English degree so that I can move on in life.

*I am properly prepared for my comps.

*I brush my teeth and floss and use the periodontic brush before I go to sleep at night.I brush my teeth and use listerine before heading out in the morning.

*I attend one face-to-face 12-step meeting once a week.

*I am turning in my take-home final for functional.

*I attend social events, when invited, provided they are healthy and fun for me. I have intelligent friends who are safe for me. I know how to keep myself safe, despite situations.

gotmusikk's Monday

Thank you movingalong for a lovely start today! :-)

Like some others here, I'm prepping for a large 1 week+ vacation today! So, I'll write the things that I would like to get done... who knows if it's realistic (as I haven't yet accrued the skill of realistic expectations re: how much I get done in a day), but at least it'll help me have a focus!

-- wash dishes
-- find my hat and see how many envelopes I have
----- If I don't have one or the other, go out and buy hat and/or more envelopes
-- pack for VT
----- print packing list
----- write down whatever else I think I need
----- talk to BF about which bag we'll use
----- pack.

-- put away rest of laundry
-- call Dr. to make appt.

-- email T. Ertel, Keenan-Dworak, Hempey
-- back up laptop tonight

I'll write more essentials here as I think of them.

about today's thread-starter

Universal love to all reading here.

Our members come from many different cultures, nations, religions, and philosophies.

I chose *not* to focus on any holiday or philosophy or culture, because not all our readers observe the same things.

Today's thread-starter is
to focus on what ALL have in common --
-- Love.

A power deep within us,
we each understand in our own way
according to our own truth.

May we all come to know ... that each of us is intrinsically worthly of infinite unconditional love.

Wishing everyone a very happy and peaceful Christmas!

But thinking of all of you here, and very grateful for all the support I have received here this year.

Sending love and good wishes! (a day early, I know, but wanted to post now)
