clement ci - trying abstinence

is it possible to abstain from procrastination? Is it advisable? Certainly everyone procrastinates from time to time. But then again everyone can have 1 or 2 drinks. The alcoholic can't. Is that my situation? I have to live a 100% structured life and that is abstinence?
I dont know, but i'm going to try.
I'm clement and i have an addictive personality and it's been 3 minutes since i last went off plan.

well it's clear that i'll be talking minutes, and maybe hours, of abstinence at first. Perhaps for a long time. Perhaps for my whole life. But we'll see, right now, i turn my attn to this moment.

after being on plan for 13 min, i went off plan. it's been 1 min since i last went off plan. back to qt.

It has been 5 min since i went off plan.

it's been 1h 39m since i was off plan. hmmm. that's encouraging.

it's been 2h 6m since i was last off plan. great meeting. back 2 wk.

it's been 10 min since i last went off plan. tv was on something else ( that i didnt intend to watch ) and i got sucked in. I had a nice streak going there, but i'm not so much worried about long streaks. I'm worried about getting back to abstinence as soon as possible after i get off.
So i am challenged to work, because there's something to check. But that's not the plan. So i'm going to do the form, which is the plan.

Ok,stayed home sick for the 2nd day this week...doesn't make me happy but I felt I needed the rest...coughing uncontrollably and then tired from all the exertion...supposedly an asthma flair up...had to take a lot of different over the counter meds plus some prescriptions and its still there...TIME...Things I must endure...or things I must earn...as my cough is at a stand still...so are things in my life...hmmm?! maybe if I just dig in and get to the truth of the matter, my cough will subside..I have been procrastinating on a couple of important projects! It's always a struggle to stay consistent! so, I do great on some things and then other things fall to the ground and sit there, rotting,waiting for me to care for them again! Not good when one of them is finances...so much easier to just go and spend and think you have enough money when you want what you want...then to stay on a budget...and so much easier to go around complaining or even just silently living with glasses with a wrong prescription then to go to the doc and get them adjusted, legitimately my right! I am worthy of being in good sound financial and health condition! Staying in helpless victim mode does me no good!
So, just for today, ready or not...
3:30. I will go make a nice cup of tea, turn on some good music, and go thru my box of financial papers...
5:00. I will go thru my fridge and get that in good healthy order...
5:45. I will gt in good healthy order to go to an anniversary mtg.
6:15 and go!

Rexroth Check In
Today is a day that I am so grateful for this fellowship. I don't feel 100% but am quite well enough to do something. It is the sort of day when if I was not retired I would go into work. Without this fellowship and this check in I would be lying in bed all day doing nothing in particular.
