THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!

internet is back. was out yesterday even and this morning. It's been going out and back on.

Also, power went back on today. We were pretty good w/ the generator, but it's definitely nice to have everything working again.

i'm really struggling today. with tasks. The hourly phone check-ins have been all that's keeping me sane. Couldnt use this website net out.

I started my quiet time then read this verse

whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully
2 Corinthians 9:6

trouble is this made me think of going into business for myself. And i imagined advertising and networking as the "sowing" part and if i do that sparingly like i might if i was procrastinating then i would therefore "reap", ie earn, sparingly.

That scared me.

Ok so while i was still in the middle of this post i had the phone 1:30pm ckin. so i there decided i have to move past this and continue w/ my quiet time.

1:39pm

ok i'm glad i kept reading, cuz this hits me where i am

you will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way
2 Corinthians 9:11

i dont feel enriched. So i should not feel guilty about that, but just wait for god to enrich me. And if/when he does, use those blessings to be generous to others and give to them. I would be very happy with a life in which i am blessed so that i can bless others.

145pm

i did finish my quiet time. finally. and now i have a mtg at wk in 15 min.

My first check in

Hi everyone,

Normally I don't check in here, I prefer the chatbox, but today I have to get certain tasks off my back.

  1. T&P for Oct and Nov
  2. Presentation for Monday
  3. Preparation for SE meeting
  4. Preparation for SSMM meeting
  5. Presentation for Thursday
Basically, I can't go home without doing all these things. I'm half way through No. 1, but struggling and want to cry.
See you in the chatbox,
Nelly

EleanorBE's Friday list

Thanks for the thread, lennon.

So, I had a lovely time teaching yesterday - it's a class I always enjoy but this time it was extra good because I followed something I read on ms thursday (today ms friday)'s check in, about treating people with kindness at work. I think I'm pretty friendly as teachers go but going in with the thought that I would treat the students with kindness just seemed to make for a really great atmosphere. So same again today. I think I'll follow ms. in having a 'constants' list too. Thank you ms!
