Monday the first day of the working week

Lets make it a good one

Agnus ci - a PA victory!

Even though I haven't shared much positive stuff since coming back to PA, I want to say how much it helps just being here!  Some days all I can do is show up but as I learned from vic, even that works.  Last night I completed a 9-month backlog of medical paperwork, bringing everything completely current. YAY GOD! Every past due medical bill is paid, including some that dated back to 2010, and many that were in collections.  It might help someone to know how this worked:

I checked in here, aiming for daily.  Read about doing little bits at a time, so I tackled a 6-inch pile of filing, 3-4 pieces every time I walked by it. Five other piles of 3-5" each remained to be procesed and/or filed.  I knew one pile was more current than others, so one weekend I sorted just that pile and then daily planned to whittle away at the current stuff. I didn't succeed every day, but gradually that pile became less scary.

A nice side effect was clearing my largest countertop, where I might tackle the backlog piles.  After a couple of false starts, begining to sort and face things, then freezing up and/or getting distracted, I finally tackled the scary piles. I think because I was checking in here, I did not give up this time! I asked J to help me and he agreed, although he was unable to help when the time came. Still, I plowed through, resolving not to be sabotaged again by resentment, fear or selfish desires.  REsult: the backlogs are gone!  I feel like a ball and chain have been removed from around my neck!

Now to the present day:
conf calls at 12:30, 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Send pics to R&S
Ask RR about BW options
Discuss RR response with PK
File Biweekly reports (overdue 1/31 and 2/14)
Appeal toll fine
Find out how to disenroll bad Medicare plan and resume old one
Call oxygen co re: J's January equip rental
Call Medicare for help re J's CCS
Call Aeron- did they ever file?
Call NBMS - is that a duplicate bill?
Call dental plan - why decline annual?
Touch base with AD, CW

congrats agnus

great for you to have achieved this! I'm so happy for you. And it gives me hope for myself and everyone here.

I'm late today b/c I had to go to a  funeral this morning

Oh well, it was important that I went, and new I can focus and do my best.

Today I need to:
Check on expts
Win18 plan
Draft revised version of comp. section
Find or request article on how to make a good table
Maybe do PAS/DAPI

OK, that's good! will start with drafting

Check-in, monday 13 feb, AllOfTheAbove.

Good, good, it's good to be again here.

I've been doing so-so but I've been surfing more than I wanted to. I've not logged in in days because, now I can see, fool myself with thinkings about how much time I will spend in the forum if I log in (self-sabotage, I hate you so much).

So, today I will:

- Keep on going with the Pomodoro Technique (which I discovered yesterday and found very anxiety relieving) to make 2 4x25 chunks of work with my thesis writings. Two chunks dedicated to go through PureData tutorial.

- Write F at about 3:30 pm to shcedule a meeting for tomorrow.

- Login to Facebook at night before going to bed to answer my new friend (only for that; don't drop down the page until you've checked all the silly comments or you'll spend 2 hours there).

- Cook/eat.

- Continue doing 2 25x4 pomodoros implementing the flute program.

- Do some Arduino. Study the phenomena you want to implement; you can also explore the Heptaphonic scale and do a melody with that.

I've already:

- Selected some clothes I don't use anymore to send them to people in need (it's on its way now, phew).

- Cleaned workspace.

If you have time and energy at night, you can:

- Finish Peacock origami.

- Use lyrics to make melodic lines and put some riffs to it.

- Take a piano lesson of 1 hour.

Thanks to G@d for all the lessons of the previous days. I hope I'm improving although slightly.

Fear is only a thought and as a thought you can ignore it.

Very annoying start

Very annoying start to the day. I woke at 0535, dozed off again until about 0645. I easily could have gotten out of bed then, but decided to pass out until 1000. At least I got to bed on time.

1) Hardware store for ratchet

2) Coding study (~10 minutes)

3) Check YN map

4) Return DVD today

5) Locate other toolbox

6) 40 reps exercise

7) Pet care

8 ) See about returning rack

9) Contact Dh?

Bed before 0030

Journey 10:30 puppy kisses

Catching up on the weekend posts. . .. I had a busy and fun weekend and did not check in.   I had lunch with my mother and aunt for my aunts birthday on Saturday, then did a few chores and packed a bag to head up to my daughter's house to go out for my pre-birthday dinner and spend the night.   I spent a lot of time playing with her puppy Archie - she got him from a shelter a few months ago.   He is a german shepherd/lab mix and was abandoned in a field with his littermates.   He was about six months old when she got him and he was a starving, traumatized, terrified little doggy.    Now he's 11 months old and he is a completely different dog now.  My daughter has spent a lot of time working with  him and socializing him.  Now he loves to give kisses, play fetch, and cuddle on the couch.  ( And chew up everything in sight! )  He's a real cuddle bug.  So Archie sends kisses to the other pups in the forum!

I'm in the office today.   I've been to the gym and caught up on all my email from the weekend.   I have my todo list and ready to get into the groove here.   Have a productive and enjoyable day everyone.

Jo

Be confident.  Stay focused.   One thing at a time.

Aww, what a wonderful

Aww, what a wonderful story, slightly tearing up here! Thanks for sharing and love to Archie!

Slept in today, but probably needed the extra sleep. I've practiced the organ so far, still need to practice a little. I will have to carve out time for piano practice too. I don't really have over tasks so that's lovely. Wish you all a productive day!

Lucky's Playlist

Whew. I've really been procrastinating for the past week or so. Understandable for a couple of reasons.

First, I've been working hard on learning to accept my body, and generally when I get healthier in one area, another area gets worse. Not forever, but while I'm dealing with the shock of the change. I think the parts of me that want to protect me from growing DO NOT LIKE NEW THINGS and try to neutralise the threat, but when it stops being new they lose interest.

Second, I'm spending nearly all my time in my room at the moment because of strained relations with my housemate (as usual, no advices on the housemate situation, please <3). My room is knee-deep in depressing squalor and I can't help but feel negative about myself when I'm in there.

I've got a week off for half-term and there are four main things I want to work on:

1 - Catch up as much as possible on secret project (secret because if I said what it was it might compromise my anonymity)

2 - Financial sorting. Got an appointment with CCCS tomorrow and need to be able to give them a comprehensive picture of my finances by then. Would also like to do my taxes.

3 - Make my room less depressing - will probably involve wholesale carting of mess to attic, and maybe putting up some posters etc

4 - The Mum Thing. (See my .sig for details.) She never sent me the health-related email she'd promised. However, she did send me an email about something else, to which I didn't reply, and I'm worried that my not replying has scared her off sending the health one. So now I'm terrified to reply or contact her in case she's furious. So 'Email mum' will be appearing on my playlist every day until I do it.

I've recently had a big success on cutting back coffee - from maybe 6+ cups a day to 4 a day one week, 3 the next, etc, and I'm now down to just 1 a day. I was really addicted so I'm very pleased with this. I'm thinking of trying something similar with procrastination - 4 hrs/day this week, 3 the next, and so on. Not getting too hung up on whether it works, just trying it to see.

Recycler CI Feb 13 7:15am EST

Hi!

6:30 Up, walk puppy, feed puppy, check email & internet.

Today's goal: shower sometime before 1:30 going to 2pm therapist appt.

Tuesday: organizer lady will come to help me around the condo. While we *can* do everything tomorrow, it would be nice to do some "pre-straighten-up" so tomorrow can be about the usually-put-off projects ;)

So today = basically puttering around, as long as I take the shower & wash my hair at some point prior to appt.

Have a great day, everyone! :)

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)
