Procrastination is the grave in which opportunity is buried.

Gmarie - dang - TOO SLOW =( =( =(

CARRIED OVER:
Accountability letters
Scantron selections
STAR job responsibilities  - Gees - took me TEN HOURS, at least;  I can't figure our what I do wrong...:(  *sigh*
STAR calendar (Half done)
CAHSEE job respnsibilities (Half done)
CAHSEE calendar (Half done)
Scantron outline
Accountability outline

I'm slow, too.

I've spent a fair amount of time worrying about why it takes me so long to do things. I think I may know why (in my case, anyway). I have ADD, and I read an article that said people with ADD take longer to do things. They did some studies with test taking. ADD people will score less than non-ADD people if they are given the same amount of time, but if the ADD person can take more time, the difference disappears. The article said the ADD brain had a "narrower pipe" (so to speak) for information to travel through.

I don't know if you have ADD, but this made sense in my case. I'm way above average in intelligence (I've been tested), so I don't take a long time with things because I'm stupid. When I finally do get something done, the quality is excellent. I'm just frustratingly slow - to myself and others. I've tried to improve, but there doesn't seem to be much I can do about it. Things just take me a long time.

Thanks for the comment, PRO

I'm not sure what is going on with me. I have an ex-husband and four sons with ADD - all way above average in intelligence but perpetually "not working up to their potential". I've always been the OVER-achiever, not AS bright as my male counterparts in the family, but a straight-A student by sheer effort & will.

Thing is, I always did procrastinate and let the pressure of the "due date" drive me. In the last few years, though, I have felt this "fog" descend upon my brain and for the life of me I can't figure out if it's depression, hormones, stress, unrecognized ADD or a combination of all four. I just know that I can't seem to "fix" whatever it is. =(
