I am new

Hi,
My name is Ritva and I am procrastinator (what a terrible word, I do not know how you pronounce it). I am female and I live in Finland in a small village. I am also a compulsive overeater in OA and sometimes I go to AA meetings because of the 12 step recovery program. I am married, sometimes I have thougt of divorce and him to take our son with him not because of him but because of myself. I would have less work if I lived alone and I might manage life better.

I wonder if there are any on line 12 step meetings for us the proc...

I am looking for a sponsor. I had a sponsor in OA but she said I have to send e-mail every day and do the steps every day. To send e-mail every day was impossible for me you surely understand why.

hi, Ritva!

Welcome!  I hope you find this site helpful.  We don't follow a formal 12-step structure here, and don't really have sponsors.  We tend to just support each other on the Check-In forums.

To send e-mail every day was impossible for me you surely understand why.

Actually, I'm not sure why.  Do you not have regular email access or was it a procrastination problem? Or something else?

Hello

Hi Ritva - just wanted to welcome you and tell you that I'm new too.  I've tried the "book-ending" and found that helpful.  Now all I need to be is consistent!  I'm also reading the articles and picked up a recommended book called Too Perfect, When Being in Control Gets Out of Control...very interesting.  I think admitting that I actually had a problem helped me a lot!!!!!

Thank you

scarlett and startingnow for welcoming me.

Scarlett, I could not write to my sponsor every day because I had so much work at my job because of delaying doing things. I also procrastinated writing to her and I do hate coersing that is I MUST write every d ay.  I really do like 12 step recovering program of AA. I wish it could be used here.

startingnow, good you found the book helpful. I have known a long time that I have this problem but I did not know the name of it.
