The last thing I needed right now, right before leaving for an interview, was to have this board spammed. When I come back, I'm going to tighten up the joining procedure.
The spammer has been banned, of course.
If you see spam messages, PLEASE NOTIFY ME so I can delete them.
Thank's for dealing with this so quickly and efficiently. I appreciate it a lot. You setting up this site has helped me so much. I'm saddened and angered that some people don't respect it. Best of luck with the interview.
Got up late today, with a headache. It's -27C with windchill up here in Canada, and I'm very tempted to cancel my doctor's appointment this aft and stay home and curl up on the couch with my book, the cat and a nice cup of tea! But...

Amazing how I will allow a small thing to get me off track for the day. Yesterday, I responded to a post on a listserve about issues related to my type of business. The person I responded to took offense & sent a pissed off message to the list & a further one to me personally. I felt terrible, apologized on the list, responded to the personal email, but still just felt awful about the whole thing (later someone else emailed me directly to say he thought my original post was kind & appropriate information). My codependency rears its ugly head again--I just wither when someone is mad at me (even a stranger!)--and feeds into my procrastination. Frustrating. So I've yet to really start working and am not feeling confident that I will get moving.

I feel for you. I wish I could do something to help. I should be home in a couple of hours. If you'd like we could meet in the chat room to help support each other through our task lists. Pro was my accountability partner, using the chat once, and it was a great help to me. It may be just the thing to get you going again. I'll check the board around 5 pm EST to read your rely.
Thank you so much for your very kind reply and offer! I really appreciate it! I actually finally got myself going. I'm installing a new version of Norton (thought I was done earlier, but I was wrong, terribly wrong). So during the down time when the computer was chugging away, I started doing the reading I've been avoiding and am now on somewhat of a roll. But shortly I need to head out for a meeting tonight. However, I'd definitely be up for encouraging each other w/task lists via the boards, chatroom (if I can figure out how to use it given my lack of techno-savvy), etc. Thanks again!

Just a note to say I sent you a note thru the contact button a day or so ago. I was wondering if you got it? Oh, and good luck on your interview today.
Lark
I'm visiting a friend this evening, so I'll have a "quitting time" today--which often makes for a productive day. I recall the saying about the amount of work expanding to fit the time--or something like that!
Done:
morning routine
heat workshop
small housework
ToDo:
meditate and reflect
mail eBay payment
finish today's work project
clean in workshop for half an hour
sort laundry
Things aren't going as well as I'd hoped, but they're going. I got lazy for a while (bottom line).
DONE:
morning routine
heat shop (still chilly)
small housework
mail eBay payment
ToDo:
meditate and reflect
finish today's project--or as much as I can
clean in workshop
sort laundry
I like to start my to-do list small and add onto it.
I'm glad it's cold today - the weather this winter has been creeping me out. Yesterday up north I saw a few minutes of snowflakes. So beautiful! I'm afraid our children's grandchildren will be hearing about this interesting thing we used to have called "snow".
I really wish I had put my cup of mouthwash on my bed stand last night. I place it there each night so I can immediately through it in my mouth in the morning to shock myself awake. It's a very strong mint flavored, one that actually stings a little. Actually it doesn't sting as much as it use to. I've developed a tolerance for it, so it hardly bothers me at all now. But, it's still a very useful tool for me for one reason: It's quite annoying laying in bed with a mouth full of mouthwash. My brain screams, "get up, spit this stuff out and brush your teeth." And once I've done all that... well there's just no turning back for me... I usually get my day started. But today there is not mouthwash. So I'm laying in bed (procrastinating), typing to all of you, when I should be in the shower. But, I did at least get my devotional time in while laying here.
I have a shower CD player. I think I'll entice myself to get in by picking one of my favorite Cd's to listen to while bathing. That should be enough incentive to get me going.
Much is continuing and possibly finishing yesterday
up prayer, reflection and meditation
wash up
get stuff ready for friend on legal/admin project
copy old A discs onto C drive
check defective A disc
copy and check bits from friends emails and memory stick
go over info with friend so we know where it all is
check with friend progress on case preparation
list papers for solicitor appointment
phone appointment with landlord re accident
finish account of accident
colate notes receipts and papers re accident
continue cleaning area where heater was removed, remove tiles and wood floring
relax listen to radio
prayer and reflection
bed and sleep
I feel like I am doing really well today. Had a late start as up late last night, gone midnight, and friend was late for a good reason. Have got all bits copied. At the start of today I didn't know how to do it other than it was "easy". Lots of things are easy when you know how!
Yesterday, I read something by Steve Pavlina that said "Think about what you would consider the absolute best use of that day" [the day you're planning]. Wow! There's an idea and something to strive for. (http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2004/10/more-on-planning)
Also, I'm really trying to come up with a realistic list of stuff to do. I've cut a bunch of stuff out of the list I originally generated. This one has 14.5 hrs, which is hopefully doable given that I have about 17.5 hrs in the day & I've accounted for most everything. I guess I'll try to view this as an experiment to see whether this type of planning & estimating works.

SPAMMERS
The last thing I needed right now, right before leaving for an interview, was to have this board spammed. When I come back, I'm going to tighten up the joining procedure.
The spammer has been banned, of course.
If you see spam messages, PLEASE NOTIFY ME so I can delete them.
Thanks Pro
Thank's for dealing with this so quickly and efficiently. I appreciate it a lot. You setting up this site has helped me so much. I'm saddened and angered that some people don't respect it. Best of luck with the interview.
Regards and thanks Rexroth

Got up late today, with a headache. It's -27C with windchill up here in Canada, and I'm very tempted to cancel my doctor's appointment this aft and stay home and curl up on the couch with my book, the cat and a nice cup of tea! But...

X make bed
X check emails
x take chicken out of freezer for supper

Yay! You're SELLING horses, instead of buying them!! Atta girl!! :)
Mollie's Check-In 12:55pm

How are you doing now Mollie?
I feel for you. I wish I could do something to help. I should be home in a couple of hours. If you'd like we could meet in the chat room to help support each other through our task lists. Pro was my accountability partner, using the chat once, and it was a great help to me. It may be just the thing to get you going again. I'll check the board around 5 pm EST to read your rely.
Blessings,
Monica

Hi Monica,
Thank you so much for your very kind reply and offer!
Mollie
You're Very Welcome
I'm glad to see you are doing better. I'm sorry I'm so late getting back to you. My appointment tonight lasted longer than I expected.
I'm going to lay down and try to recover from a headache that's been lingering all day. I plan on staying up late to catch up on my chores.

Hey Pro
Just a note to say I sent you a note thru the contact button a day or so ago. I was wondering if you got it? Oh, and good luck on your interview today.
Lark
nope, didn't get it
My spam filter must have eaten it up - I didn't see it. If you send it again, I'll make sure I find it (check the spam folder if it doesn't appear).
I'm a little nervous about the interview, but also philosophical. What will be will be. If not this, then something else.
10:00 CI from Lark It's really cold outside.
I'm visiting a friend this evening, so I'll have a "quitting time" today--which often makes for a productive day. I recall the saying about the amount of work expanding to fit the time--or something like that!
Done:
morning routine
heat workshop
small housework
ToDo:
meditate and reflect
mail eBay payment
finish today's work project
clean in workshop for half an hour
sort laundry
This is a fitting start. Large lists scare me!
Lark's 1:30 pm CI
Things aren't going as well as I'd hoped, but they're going. I got lazy for a while (bottom line).
DONE:
morning routine
heat shop (still chilly)
small housework
mail eBay payment
ToDo:
meditate and reflect
finish today's project--or as much as I can
clean in workshop
sort laundry
large lists scare me, too
I like to start my to-do list small and add onto it.
I'm glad it's cold today - the weather this winter has been creeping me out. Yesterday up north I saw a few minutes of snowflakes. So beautiful! I'm afraid our children's grandchildren will be hearing about this interesting thing we used to have called "snow".
Global warming. :(
pro's first check-in - 8:30am
Nice welcome picture, Edge. Thanks! :)
I went to sleep at about 11:30pm and got up at 7:30am. I'm happy with that - 8 hours sleep, and still getting up at a reasonable hour.
The milk in my refrigerator was sour this morning, so I have nothing to put in my chicory (coffee substitute).
I will be spending the day preparing for my 3pm interview.
^.^
My pleasure, Pro :) Hope that interview goes well.

Monica's CI - 6:30 am EST
So far:
[x] Wake at 5 am
[x] Devotional Time

I feel like I am doing really well today. Had a late start as up late last night, gone midnight, and friend was late for a good reason. Have got all bits copied. At the start of today I didn't know how to do it other than it was "easy". Lots of things are easy when you know how!

Mollie's Check-In 5:20am
