AABB
"If we were to live, we had to be free of anger."
Though we did not like their symptoms and the way these disturbed us,
they, like ourselves, were sick too. We asked God to help us show them
the same tolerance, pity, and patience that we would cheerfully grant a
sick friend. When a person offended we said to ourselves, "This is a
sick man. How can I be helpful to him? God save me from being angry. Thy
will be done." We avoid retaliation or argument."

Abstinence from unplanned time.
Abstinence from relying on self.
Perhaps there is a better way - we think so. For we are now on a different basis; the basis of trusting and relying upon God. We trust infinite God rather than our finite selves. We are in the world to play the role He assigns. Just to the extent that we do as we think He would have us, and humbly rely on Him, does He enable us to match calamity with serenity.
We never apologize to anyone for depending upon our Creator. We can laugh at those who think spirituality the way of weakness. Paradoxically, it is the way of strength. The verdict of the ages is that faith means courage. All men of faith have courage. They trust their God. We never apologize for God. Instead we let Him demonstrate, through us, what He can do. We ask Him to remove our fear and direct our attention to what He would have us be. At once, we commence to outgrow fear. p68 AA Big Book. http://anonpress.org/bb/Page_68.htm

THINGS I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER
not gone on 3hr, off-plan binge. I was tempted and i gave in. Just one more...
THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (everything i "did well" comes from god, either thru gifts he's given me or the way he's transformed me)
restarting...
the hope that i will be able to prevent this in the future.
That now, with recovery, i can get right back to work, instead of sulking, feeling like a failure, or spending hours, days searching for what's "wrong with me?"
That the frequency and duration of off-plan binges is going down.
That God uses failure to teach me.
That i did get a lot done today.
That i have tomorrow to try again.

RisingUp Check-In 4/13
Behold, it's Friday night and I couldn't find a Saturday check-in thread already made so I made my own!
Friday was a turning point for me, as I found out I'm getting a nice, fat TAX REFUND which is just enough to put money down on a new place, if I'm able to find a good deal and I trust I will!
Now I need some more money to pay outstanding bills, and a new job to pay for the new place I plan to get sometime within the next few weeks!
Task list for the weekend:
Read Bible and Eph. bookGym on Saturday: workout/shower/practiceGet stuff from big storage & move to small storage, BY SUNDAYMONDAY:
