These are my two drops of rain

Waiting on my windowpane.

I am waiting here to see

Which the winning one will be.

Both of them have different names.

One is John and one is James.

All the best and all the worst

Comes from which of them is first.

James has just begun to ooze.

He's the one I want to lose.

John is waiting to begin.

He's the one I want win.

Wishing you all a great start to the new week

kromer 1:55 CI

I am trying a new system (pomodoro system) so I'm not gonna post my whole to-do list here, but I think I need the structure of listing my accomplishments and off-plan stumbles.

Got to work on time (10 am) :)
Wasted an unplanned half-hour on the web...need to get out of the habit of checking email 1st thing, it always leads to surfing.
Planning (30 min) :)
Finished GWOE task (1 hr) :)
Lunch break went long by 30 min--I think packing my lunch would save me time.
Then I got thrown off by trying to do c.m--it was crowded and I wasn't prepared and I finally just gave up. I will take some planning time for this now and will try again around 5pm when it should have emptied out.

Then I got the title email out (30 min) :)
Then I went to Dr's appt :)
Then I wasted about 30 min :(
Then I went back to the c.m/dosing task. It was less crowded and I was more prepared, but it was still slow. :) :P (2.25 hrs)
Then I had dinner (45 min, too slow)
Then I worked on job search/company research (1 hr) :)

KF quick CI

Quick one for me. Already lost quite a lot of time (relatively) since I got in. I could have been working 20 mins ago, but hey ho.

clement ci - day 149 attempting abstinence, 69 from self

Abstinence from unplanned time.

  • The one thing, the only thing, i can do impulsively is write something on my todo list.
  • The one thing, the only thing, i can do off plan is recovery, something to maintain my sobriety, when tempted. I have come to believe that it is more important to maintain sobriety than to get things done.

Abstinence from relying on self.

We reviewed our fears thoroughly. We put them on paper, even though we had no resentment in connection with them. We asked ourselves why we had them. Wasn't it because self-reliance failed us? Self-reliance was good as far as it went, but it didn't go far enough. Some of us once had great self-confidence, but it didn't fully solve the fear problem, or any other. When it made us cocky, it was worse.

Perhaps there is a better way - we think so. For we are now on a different basis; the basis of trusting and relying upon God. We trust infinite God rather than our finite selves. We are in the world to play the role He assigns. Just to the extent that we do as we think He would have us, and humbly rely on Him, does He enable us to match calamity with serenity.

We never apologize to anyone for depending upon our Creator. We can laugh at those who think spirituality the way of weakness. Paradoxically, it is the way of strength. The verdict of the ages is that faith means courage. All men of faith have courage. They trust their God. We never apologize for God. Instead we let Him demonstrate, through us, what He can do. We ask Him to remove our fear and direct our attention to what He would have us be. At once, we commence to outgrow fear. p68 AA Big Book. http://anonpress.org/bb/Page_68.htm

THINGS I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER

not forgotten my laptop.
not forgotten my screw driver.
remembered to ck the fan when i had the computer open.
remembered about the antivirus expiring.

THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (everything i "did well" comes from god, either thru gifts he's given me or the way he's transformed me)

Had a good monday, 2nd week in a row. Mondays are often lost due to transition.
stayed on schedule practically all day.
wisely put off a task for efficiency (not procrastination!)
caught up on some bookeeping.
installed memory
cleaned 3 computers that really needed it.
didnt break anything.
worked pretty fast.
helped someone with her email acct hacked.

WHAT I DID WELL TODAY !!! ??

learn from my mistakes. That beginning work at a regular time - without deviation - is necessary for me. I must not schedule things that take me off topic for early morning before work start.

i did what I needed to do this afternoon, and this evening went very smoothly - a lot was going on but I think everyone had a good experience.

WHAT I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER

i have a problem with addiction to puzzles I need to recognise this and go cold turkey. Building good habits takes time and commitment and vigilence.

THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR

Working together with KW - never had such a clear case of two heads being better than one, or worked so smoothly with anyone.

conviviality - g and d 's enthusiasm, J's pleasure, A joining in

having the hairdresser'ssmall puppy on my lap while she cut my hair.

The amazing dream I had last night
