RisingUp Check-In 2/15 FRIDAY

Valentine's Day was saved :) So, I'm in a better mood ... though the PMS is still influencing ...

I am feeling a stronger motivation to do what I must regarding work & job apps. Too bad my body doesn't feel much like following at the moment! It's a lazy Friday with continued gloom/rain/clouds weather. Stay in bed reading a book type of morning. Which I might do for a while.

My plan for today is to let myself have my "run-up" time to get myself ready. When I am ready, I will start doing the assignments, and when I really want to, I will start a job app with help from my God. I don't want to speak too soon, but it does feel like a ray of light might be starting to shine through my 6+month long paralysis regarding career.

In Jesus' name I pray today to be given the physical strength and desire and motivation that I need to start taking small actions, and to be given some idea of what direction the Lord has planned for me. Amen.

@ Journey Happy Birthday!!!

Make sure you do something nice (sounds like Downton might be it.... ;-) )

Journey 10:15

Happy Friday!  Today is my 60th birthday, and TBH I feel a bit depressed about it.   I took the day off work and I'm kinda wishing I had gone in to work now.   But anyway, we're still on the green side of the grass, so let's go enjoy the day.   Here's what I'm planning to do today:

  • Catch up on Downton Abbey
  • Grocery store
  • Health food store
  • Straighten house
  • wipe down guest bathroom
  • Decide what to do about dinner (out for pizza?)  cooking!
  • Plan something for tomorrow night (this will be my bday party)
  • Bills & budget for the 15th
  • quick cleanout of fridge
  • quiet time
  • exercise 30 minutes
  • bank?  if time
  • dinner
  • dishes
  • walk the granddog (he's coming to see me for my bday!)
Update 11 am:
grocery list done, and I decided I'd rather cook tonight since my daughter will be arriving about 7ish.  We'll go out tomorrow.   Now for half an hour of exercise, a bath, one more episode of Downton Abbey, then off to get some groceries.

Thanks, Jalla, for the nice starters lately.

I've already done my list on paper for the day, so I won't put it here. I just wanted to pat myself on the back for giving up my favorite Internet site for Lent. It was such a time waster. I could spend an hour a day on it over two or three sessions per day, just reading news about the worst the world has to offer. And of course I would check it when I was supposed to be getting stuck into other work. And so far, I have gone 48 hours without it. Yay me.

Everybody have a great Friday!

Kudos Kodos

Well done!

(It is a good idea giving up an internet site for lent. Knowing me I would just find another tho.... )
