There's really only one thing I need to do, however it's a biggie: this essay. I've put it off and put it off and now I can delay no longer... Or can I? I'm actually thinking about staying up all night to write it, even though it's early afternoon here... Just need to do a bit more reading, just a bit more research, etc etc. Grrrr, it's so stupid!!! Anyway, it has to be done so I'd better get on with it and look forward to crossing the finishing line...

Not yet, no!!! I simply hate writing essays!!!!! Also, I'm visiting my folks in Ireland, they're deaf as posts so the tv is up really loud and they're always interrupting me... excuses excuses :). Anyway I emailed the tutor apologising (grovelling in a dignified way) and will keep at it til it's done...

Feeling tired this morning, but will be better after breakfast and a shower. Was disappointed by yesterday's chargeable work, but actually not bad at all compared to other days. Especially as I wasn't doing what I expected to be. Onwards and sideways.

Today I will:

  • Wash up (15 mins) did it in the end!
  • empty DW 
  • Do work for P. 10 poms (5 hours) 7/10 done
  • Have a good lunch (30 mins)
  • Put Chilli on by 1pm

8:55am : it's been about 8hrs 25min since i last went off plan, which includes 7.5hrs of sleep. now quiet time.

9:32am : it's been 2 min since i last went off plan. Mind wandering exploring interesting theological concepts, but not on plan.

Sobriety, the magnificent obsession,
is the most important thing in your life, without exception. You my believe your job, or your home life, or one of many other things come first. But consider if you do not get sober, and stay sober, chances are you won't have a job, a family, sanity or even life. If you are convinced that everything depends on your sobriety, you have just so much more chance of getting sober and staying sober. If you put other things first you are only hurting your chances.

so my first order of business is to deal with my addiction to going off plan and to relying on my self. 2nd order is to do tasks.
