. . . . . . . We can see each day
. . . . . . . . as a beautiful day

. . . . . . . .   courage . wisdom . serenity
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  hope
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . just one step

Thanks to PA member Chickadee for another beautiful thread-starter

In order to vary my routine, I'm going to start using this board to report on my productivity at the end of the day. Today was pretty good. I
  • wrote something and was actually focused for about 45 minutes (total)
  • went to Mass
  • got to work in plenty of time
  • got halfway through a work project
  • knocked 6 things off my to-do list
  • wiped 45 emails out of my inbox
  • dealt with 10 pieces of paper
  • made dinner and cleaned for half an hour
I think that's it. Not bad.

movingalong's Thursday

Plodding along, doing what I need to be doing.
Got waylaid by perfectionism but pulled myself back.
Doing better now.

Thanks for beautiful starter moving.

Took so much time/effort for family relationship issues during holidays. So grateful for the outcomes and my HP's healing grace. Need to stay one day at a time and next 3 things, even though I feel like I "deserve"time off from all responsibilities.

*Finish supp figure legends (will do this soon)
*Order primers, org. papers, freeze samples (will do this soon)

All You Beautiful People

Thank-you to all you beautiful people out here in Procrastinators Anonymous land. So wonderful, warm, supportive, encouraging, understanding, & caring. You all make my heart just swell up and want to burst.

I don't suppose this new year will be the one where we all quit PA because we have all recovered and no longer procrastinate, lol. However, I do wish for the new year to be filled with joy, peace, & wisdom for everyone. God bless each & every person here.

Hypatia's check-in

A beautiful pciture - it reminds me of our holidays in Switzerland

The car is in for repairs, so I had to take the train and cycle to and from the stations.  Boy am I unfit!  But at least it's kick-starting my project of getting fit enough to cycle all the way to work.

Junedeadline Second check in 3 January

Aim to finish marking 25 exam papers.

that's all.

welcome to PA. I'm wiliting just at the thought of 25 exam papers!

Just a note for something a lot of people get caught out by - if you post as a reply to someone's post they then can't edit their action list as they complete it. The trick is to comment directly to the starter post.

Good luck with those exam papers!

Hi Hypatia,   thanks

Hi Hypatia,

thanks for that, I've already got through a couple of them so I'm happy enough. I noticed my mistake but didnt know how to delete my comment... Is it possibel to do that?

deleting comments

I haven't found any way of deleting comments.  Don't worry about it - I've reposted my todo list, which is the easiest way of dealing with it

riddled's Done List

Today I won't make a ToDo list. I'll just list up what I managed to do, and at the end of the day I want to have a list I don't need to be ashamed of.

  • took out trash
  • shopping
  • necessary phone call
  • went to post office
  • made dentist appointment
  • washed lots and lots of dishes

Finding a way CI

So yesterday I did 3 hours of billable work, which was sort of OK. But today I did 4.5! even though it got very hot here - and still is! I realise 4.5 is still not a lot, but for me it's a lot better than some days. I am more or less keeping up with some personal and domestic tasks too, nothing outstanding but reasonable progress.

Also have been doing meditation and music practice most days and hope to keep those going :)

Keeping time log so noticing that most time is wasted on fiction reading after breakfast and after lunch - I need to limit this or else cut it out.

tila - Thur

Back after starting a new hobby and getting some rest. Plan for tomorrow:

  • wake up by 6 am, mediation
  • household chores - iP
  • studying - 4 hours (still working on it)
  • dinner, read, hobby (30 mins)

Mole's check in

That is a beautiful thread starter for me movingalong. I am having great trouble focussing on the now and not alternately longing for the cool alm of that picture and ice caves or dreading the day and days to come- today we are heading for 35 C (that's 95 for you guys with Fahrenheit) and tomorrow 40C (or 104 F)  we also have strong winds which means very high bush fire danger. Nor do I have any kind of air con.   But I need to focus on the now as it is not hot YET.
