(Most of this was already on my list yesterday.)

Journey noon

Late checkin due to dr. appt this morning.   I spent last night at my daughter's house and didn't sleep well, then 1.5 hour drive to the dr.s office.    But I gave her my complaints about a general feeling of malaise, and she assured me she will check my thyroid levels.   Also had an Xray on the foot that has been hurting for a while, so hopefully my minor health issues will be resolved soon and I'll be feeling more energetic.  And of course I enjoyed spending time with my daughter and Archie the adorable granddog.

But for today, regardless of feeling tired, I still have a job to do.    I avoided the only meeting for today by being at the dr. office, so I need to devote a good five hours to my job now.   Making todo list now for the rest of the day.  Top priority is maint., which needs a good deal of research and planning.

Rexroth Check In 14.18

A late check in. I feel all over the place today. Tried to check in earlier and pressed the wrong button.

Up prayer and reflection
Checked emails and posts no snail mail
Checked and enquired about transport on Boxing Day
Spoke to landlords about various bits of maintenance
Cancelled an order and reordered the goods which was ten pounds cheaper and delivery earlier
Dealt with friend helping him with a practical urgent and important issue without spending time on discussing feelings about it - I feel good about myself for this
Worried about a variety of things including what to do about them

Finalise shopping lists now I know who is coming over when and when I am going out and where
Put dry clothes away

Now my issue is that I have many constructive things I could be doing. They are important but not urgent. As I have a habit of doing things when they are urgent I now feel confused.

9:21am : in his doxology at the end of his letter to the Romans, Paul writes "Now to him who is able to strengthen you ... to bring about the obedience of faith ..." - Romans 16:25a,26c

I marvel at that term, "obedience of faith". So often i think of faith as my choice, but rarely do i think of it as an act of obedience to god's commands. But i am reminded that ALL god's commands are the very best choices for me. I cannot do better choosing on my own, than following all his commands. He has clearer vision. He can see the future. He knows me better than i know myself. And he has perfect love for me. He has a plan for my development. We have no example in life of a truly, 100% benevolent authority. But God is that. It is safe to put my life in his hands.

10:50am : it's been 10 min since i last went off plan. I got distracted by some news online. For about 10 min.

6:55pm :

9:45pm : it's been 1 min since i last went off plan. I have been given by my good and gracious God a new beginning, right here, right now. What task should i do? checking list...

9:47pm : it's been 3 min since i last went off plan. mo task was next. doing that.

10:10pm : it's been 26min since i last went off plan. did mo task. next rug. God is with me. to him be the glory. God make it so.

Blue-eyes Tuesday

Thank you, Mole, for starting today. 

It's the end of the morning and the procrastination monster has been strong this morning. Thank goodness for PA! I'm full of stress thinking of all the things I need to do. But when I stop and make a list, it's actually not that much that must get done. The rest can wait. I really want to sit down and write an introduction about myself, since I've been using PA for a few weeks now, but that will have to wait until the Christmas break (same with making a contribution). It's something I'm looking forward to doing.

My list for today:

1. Shopping - 1.5 hrs

2. Lesson plans for tomorrow - 30 min.

3. 2 pm: Call D. - 1 hr

4. Get ready for dinner (same time as 3.) - na

5. If time, song lyrics - 30 min.

See, it's not so bad (what am I forgetting?). So why am I trembling? Time to get moving!!!

I DID IT. I got out of the funk and had an enjoyable and productive day. There's still a lot to do, but I'm going to stay calm and focussed and take it one day and one task at a time.

last night was totally wasted as I fell asleep at 8pm!

A couple of small achievements before I left for work this morning - I texted the man who put my fence up, got his address and posted the cheque for hhis bill; and I took all the dead vegetables and peelings out to the compost heap (they've been piling up for over a week).

Now I have a paperwork morning at the office - I'll need to spend most of it in the chatbox or I fear I won't get anything done.

Writing this on Monday ...
I haven't planned my Tuesday yet, but I thought I would post here ... just to put it into my mind that higherpower would like to guide me with planning.


update, Tuesday evening, 7pm:
I posted the above on Monday.
Now it's Tuesday evening and I'm just now noticing that I posted this.
And ... I didn't plan my day.
And it didn't go well.


Well as others in Program have said,
