clement ci - day 38 attempting abstinence

11:04pm : it's been 3 min since i last went off plan. I was quasi on-plan, cuz i had a plan, but didnt check it, so i went off plan, but i did do things on my task list. Also suffering from emotional struggle today separately so that doesnt help. But it's important to not call my quasi on-plan real on-plan cuz then i will not receive the benefit of highlighting the difference. There is a difference. And with God's help i am going to aim high. Like AA and the 12 steps do. Anyway, it's past my bed time and i never had my quiet time, so i'm going to do a quick one.

My week

Due to having an issue with my phones data being stolen and used, and me not having a computer. I can't go on this site as much as I would like to for the moment. So I've decided to list my accomplishments for the week and focus on the positive. I do get overwhelmed easily, so I have to learn to slow things down a bit and not try to take on to much at once with everything that I have to do. Here was my week.

1. Went to phone provider to learn how I could block my data from being stolen.

2. Set up interviews

3. Went on interviews

4. Started eating more healthy

5. Began paying off old debts

6.  Start thinking about the job that I really want and will really be happy at in the long run.

7. Clean out my phone book

8. Mapped out a financial plan to pay off old debts

9. Rest and relaxed to get my head focused

10. Installed a blocker to restrict data so others can't tap into and use.

Will be on the site more regular once I can determine If my data blocker is working correctly.

Knitfisher's checkin 15th Dec 14:05

Thank you for the lovely starter Movingalong.

I have gone off the path today. I haven't been sleeping well at all. Keep waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning then my head fills with worried and thoughts about my mum . I feel mentally exhausted and prone to locking-down where I just lose myself in the web or a game or tv or anything to block out the sadness I feel and the shame at time I am wasting.

I know I must just put one foot in front of the other. It doesn't matter how small a step, and how many steps I take. I find it hard to even think about what I need to do. But here goes:

I have already done:

Shower

  • Nails
  • Breakfast
  • Put washing on

To do:

  • Do some work for P (3 poms)
  • Washing no.2
  • Washing up
  • Email Rg
  • FB Rc
  • Invoicing
  • Make soup flask for mum
  • Leave at 5pm to see mum
That's enough. Who knows if I will get through it. May the force be with me.

Saturday

  • ready
  • tidy
  • readings
  • HIO
  • go meet c a and s for lunch
  • go to meeting
  • journal
  • pool
  • ring sponsor
  • groceries
  • dinner
  • orgsanise printing /journals
  • start reading
  • HIO

Rexroth Check In 10.31

Woke feeling grumpy and I don't know why - good living on my own and I think anyone around me this morning would agree

Done:
Up prayer reflection
Checked emails and posts
A little sorting out of food for freezing
Planned week starting tomorrow

Todo:
x Deal with snail mail when/if any comes
x Write journal
x Bath etc and get ready to go out to church tea this afternoon - be on best behaviour and in particular do not be critical, aggressive or sarcastic with the woman who questions me in detail as to my exact beliefs to make sure I have got it right and if not to provide stern correction - she was not there and we had some wonderful professional violin playing
Start on life plan which is also a New Year plan
x Put on washing machine - done and washing hung to dry
and maybe something else I am rather hanging aroud waiting for going out at 3.00 this afternoon

Regards Rexroth

Please feel free to reply comment etc.

Rexroch Check Out

It is Sunday morning and I didn't check out yesterday evening. A friend phoned late they were very distressed and I didn't get to sleep until late.

Anyway prayed and reflected and went to sleep

macgrl check in 09.18gmt

I have a couple more articles that I need to read...again I am going to time block them into 30 min chunks. I would like to do 3 hours today but we will see. One aim is not to miss a load of time like I did yesterday. (comments are welcome)

Stopping for lunch now at 12.33 I have managed to do 5 x 30 min blocks which is 2.5 hrs out of 3

Starting again at 13.11 - want to go through the remainder of some notes and break it down into actions so that it is easier for me to work on. - that didn't take me half as long as I thought it would so I was done in 30mins.

Total time worked for today is 3 hours. I done now and will resume again on Monday 17th

15-min. morning PA 12step phone mtg Saturdays 11am NewYorkTime

There is a 12step phone meeting happening
Saturdays
starting at 11:00 am Eastern Time (New York Time)
and ending at 11:15 am.

(This Saturday meeting began on Dec. 7th, 2012).

The meeting is SHORT.  It lasts ONLY 15 minutes.
A quick moment of inspiration in your day.

Note that this is a meeting that follows the
12 steps and 12 traditions.

This meeeting uses the same format as the
Monday-through-Friday meeting.
Format and phone number are listed here:
http://procrastinators-anonymous.org/node/2292

Meeting Time Saturday am

Is it possible to say what time this meeting is for other time zones? I'm sorry but I'm not very good at working it out myself (makes my brain turn to treacle). A 15 minute meeting is something I would like to try out if it's at all convenient to me, on UK time. Thank you!

Saturday PA mtg is a TELEPHONE meeting -- and timezone is ...

Note that this is a TELEPHONE meeting, so if you are outside the USA,
you'll need a way to access by a phone card or SKYPE or something like that.

Note there is a phone number that you dial into, and then, when it answers, it will welcome you to the conference call and then ask you for an "access code".
Have that information ready before dialing in.
(The phone number and access code are listed
inside the link that I mentioned within my above post about the meeting)

December 15th meeting in ALL timezones:
click here to find it easily:

Thank you for explaining

Thank you for explaining that, movingalong.
