Hi Piqued
Hi Piqued! Good luck with ur stuff, dont lose heart keep moving forward, even if gradually.
Sorry I couldnt reply ur msg earlier, i had a lot of trouble connecting to PA. It seems ok now.
Thanks for the encouragement, thesis!
Dear thesis, thanks for the encouragment. You are right. Gradual progress is still progress.
Sometimes it's hard not to lose heart. I think it's because I'm so impatient with myself and what I think I "should" be like at this time in my life.
That being said, if I want to go from where I am now to where I want to be, I won't be traveling through a worm hole and emerging instantly and completely transformed into the new me. I'll have to pass through a continuum of "marginally better than last week, but still pathetic" to "better than two months ago, but still frustrating" to "hey, I'm building a little momentum these days" to "crud! I just missed another major deadline" to "baby steps..." Losing heart just guarantees that I'll stay stuck like this or get worse.

Piqued's check-in
Starting thoughts: Making progress on work and personal life tasks. Feeling better about life generally, despite the fact that I am miserably far behind at work and the house is a bit of a disorganized heap...
Goals:
--
Do NL, use sprayDONE--
First loadof laundryDONE--
ExerciseDONE-- Deadlocking CQ
Another day:
** Flu shot; call first
-- Briefly test new feature (2 hours?)
Ending thoughts: I need to be more patient with myself. The transition to "procrastination sobriety" (whatever that means for me) is not going to be immediate. I will have to learn how to celebrate improvement even when the improved state of affairs is still objectively undesirable as a final state.
I-want-to-write check-in 23:05
Better late than never, eh?
All I want to do now is just compile all the books I need for research tomorrow and read through the plan I made for my chapter a month ago. Then I can see which books fit where and I can start reading and taking notes.
Hope most of you had a more pro-active day than I did.
fudoshin: checkin: 2:18pm
Please do not leave advice or feedback. Thank you. Prayers welcome.
I am sequestering myself to the following activities:
1) school work: I have problem set 3 and 4 to do for functional and numerical analysis: I have three assignments to do
2) exercise
3) laundry
4) brushing my teeth, flossing and taking a shower
5) twelve step activities: one phone or face-to-face meeting, calling sponsor
6) eating, yeah, that's important too.
movingalong's Sunday recovery focus
Hello to all.
I've been stuck in the disease, and not functioning in a spiritual way. Asking higherpower today to help me set aside everything I think I know, so that I can have an open mind for new recovery.

But I forgot to ask:

Show up (done)' bl, exer
good starter lennon, lately, I have become painfully aware of how much i disappoint others/myself. Reflecting on this, i see that i often miscalculate time, forget, etc. if i did mot have the hope of my HP, I would just give up. Gratefully i have the hope and the miracles, so one day at a time i keep trying, and try to remember to stay on my knees , where i belong., and be humble enough and willing to be willing enough to use the tools that help. Wishing everyone a happy day.
