hello everyone

sorry i don't know how to add quotes ect so i'll just say check out SUNSCREEN by baz luhrman

clement ci - day 16 attempting abstinence

12:37 pm : How long has it been since i last went off plan? not sure. Thanksgiving was planned "work when / if you can" and i did work some. This morning has been on plan, but i chatted with people after the phone mtg. Was that one plan? I think it was productive. But it went pretty long. Maybe too long. But i didnt want to be discourteous. But i also was getting a lot out of it. So i'll just say not sure. But right now is a new beginning anyway. and i'll start with :

:) quiet time
:) 112 10m plan - took ilke 1hr, maybe 1.5 :(
125 1h
tasks ( not enuf time )
:) 230 leave
:) 3pm arrive
:) 2h conquest
3h capt america & dinner
9 pm leave
930 pm be home
tmrw
6:30am be a church for day of serving for Sandy

12:48 pm : it's been 1 min since i last went off task. And this is a new beginning.

1:03 pm : I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. - Romans 12:1

That is what i want to do. Similar to the Third Step Prayer of AA : ( using more modern language ) "God, I offer myself to you--to build with me and to do with me as you choose. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do your will."

I'm not feeling it today. Gonna pray over this one a while, then continue on my list. I'm scare of my to-do's today.

1:09 pm : It's been 22min since i last went off plan. Next visit tasks. plan. make decisions.

5pm : very stressful last 4.5 hrs. but got thru it and stayed on plan.

Journey 10:45

Back in the office today and I so don't want to  be here.   There are very few people in the office, as many people take a vacation day on the Friday after Thanksgiving.   I'm having a hard time getting started and I really have a lot to do so posting to get me started.

Today I need to get everything ready for testing over the weekend.   There's a lot to do but it is doable and I should be able to finish and still leave a little earlier than usual.    DD and her dogs may be staying another night, so I need to find out if they are  and plan accordingly for dinner.

I'm going now to finalize my todo list - I've been dawdling over email and coffee this morning but I still have time to get every done if I start right now.

@jay re: eyelashes

I just started dyeing my eyelashes!   I can't wear mascara and I didn't even realize you could dye your eyelashes until recently.   I love it!

Good luck RmK

with your exam today!

Thank You Hooch

After a long time, I wrote an Exam which gave me satisfaction.

True I procrastinated this time also during preparation time, but towrds the eve of the exam, the support I got from PA, and especially from people like Hooch, was tremendous.. I had the confidence to go and tackle what was coming at me.

I don't know how to thank each one of you for supporting me.

@ RmK

But of course we should also thank you. For struggling on in the chat room, and for going and making a good effort in your exam. A good example to all!

:-)

Salamander's check in - Fri 23 Nov 2012

Thank you, pro, for maintaining these boards for the fellowship. Thank you also to jay, for starting the thread - I endorse what you say completely! "Sunscreen" by Baz Luhrmann - the lyrics are EPIC and so appropriate to so much about life, especially what he says about knees ("you'll miss THEM when they're gone"). Wink

I would appreciate it if anyone who feels moved to comment on my post here would write to me privately rather than post in reply to this post - so I can still edit this post here. Thank you!

Thank you to Mole for the suggestion about doing one tile at a time for my kitchen floor. I assumed you were joking about breaking it down quite that far, but the day before yesterday I was successful in cleaning the first 1/4 of it - YIPPEE! And thank you!

Mole's check-in

Thank you Jay for starting the thread - I know it can be pretty daunting - and time consuming! :)

i,ve been completely flat chat his week - rushing towards a deadline and ignoring all else - bingeing instead of planning. A reminder that there are some things I always put off until my adrenalin merges with performance anxiety and I race to the goal.  Now it is hard to get a routine going again. A lot to do in the next few weeks. So when I get home at 6ish I need to categorise projects, look at timelines, set priorities and allocate periods for each project. I will allow one pomodoro for each of these even if it means they are all a bit sketchy at first.

Jack's check-in for the day

Thanks for the threadstarter Jay, much appreciated. I love the 90s music video you mention above, a good reminder to floss as well as putting a big smile on my face! Smile
