Journey 1 pm

Today is a holiday from work for me.  I spent last night at my daughter's and we went to a funeral for the fiance of one of her high school friends.   It was a long drive but worth it to support the friend.   I'm tired today but I want to get a few things done. I am going on a short trip with my mom Thursday and Friday so I want to catch up on some housework and get a bit of job work done too.   I would really rather just sit and watch tv until time to make dinner, but I'm going to get all the laundry and dishes done at least so that I can concentrate on work Tues-Weds.

I did not do well on my fruits and veggies habit over the weekend.   I think this habit is going to require more than one month to build!

clement ci - day 5 attempting abstinence

10:19am

ok i dont have time to ci. i have an appt at 11 in 42 min & i have to get rdy and driver there.

It's been 29m since i've last been off plan.

10:46am

it's been about 5min since i last went off plan. This feels like how i've heard addiction described.

10:52am

it's been 20 sec since i last went off plan...

12:46

it's been 1h 54 min since i was off plan. Ie i've been on since the last ckin. Granted, i had an appt--external structure that helped me be on plan.

ok i have MIT. MIUT ( "Most Urgent Important Task" )

12:51pm

went off task for about 10 sec, but i'll restart my counter anyway. it's been 1 min since i last went off task.

1:03pm

it's been 12 min since i last went off plan.

1:17pm

it's been 16 min since i last went off plan.

now 1 hr MIT wk E

3:48pm

it's been 2h 47min since i last went off plan.

I am starting to feel withdrawal symptoms. i have to work thru this.

God than you for the gift of checking in. i ask you to help me stay sober.

6 min designated break. still on plan. i'm getting a withdrawal headache. This happened before in this 5 days of trying abstinence < http://procrastinators-anonymous.org/procrastination_equation#comment-57816 >

It's been 3 hours since i last went off plan.

7:09pm :

it's been 5 min since i last went off plan.

Another way of looking at it is i've spent almost this entire day on plan, with several small exceptions.

Ok back to my task list.

11:03

it's been 4 hours since i went off track. That's pretty incredible for me.

have to add one more task to the list, then going to do fun, deliberate break, of football watching.

don't really know how this check in works but i'd like to report back as i finish each thing if that's ok - so YAY i bought coffee and grocery

Finished CP30. I'm on a roll but i'm trying not to get ahead of myself. might end up disappointed. getting a glass of water and rest 15 mins before moving onto viva D!!

update: finished viva D!!! moving onto CP24 - moving slow but steady. hopefully i can increase speed. but if not, i'm just happy i did something substantial today.

update: stasis. i'm a bit screwed in that i'm feeling really mentally drained from studying. Tried to recuperate by watching tv. found myself spiralling again. Going to extricate by taking a shower. Then restarting. i hope i make it.

update: finished CP24. need to go sleep. completed 50%. will continue check in tomorrow. hoping for improvement

Steppin CI

Just checking beacuse I'm picking up some bad procrastination habits again.

I know why (I'm going through some changes and confusion with no clear goal), but I feel that I need the strength from a higher power (PA) to get through this.

Plan for today:
Get some sleep :)

Reply mail and messages :)

Finding a way CI

Thanks for the starter, lennon.

I seem to have lost the habit of posting here regularly, partly because I don't want to retype lists that I already have elsewhere. But maybe it's good for me just to show up!

I am continuing with keeping a time log. Today there are a number of little tasks that must be seen to but that I don't want to derail me from my MIT, getting ready for tomorrow's field work. A bit anxious today but generally positive.

Thank you all for being here; I keep reading the daily forums even when I'm not posting.

Salamander's check in - Mon 12 Nov 2012

Thank you, lennon, for starting the thread.

I would appreciate it if anyone who feels moved to comment on my post here would write to me privately rather than post in reply to this post - so I can still edit this post here. Thank you!
