We live in deeds, not years;

            in thoughts, not breaths;

In feelings, not in figures on a dial.

            We should count time

                      by heart-throbs.

They most live who think most -

             feel the noblest  - act the best.

Daily Check-In for Mouse, 9/18/12

Today I feel downright bleary. Two nights in a row of staying up just a tad too late. That said, a small amount of anxiety has been lifted off of me because I heard from P and he no longer seems mad about work things. But I am trying to remind myself that less anxiety ≠ a reason to slack off today.

Definites:

  • Go running (W2D4 of C25K)
  • Shower
  • Eat Lunch
  • Dinner with K Cancelied this, we saw each other yesterday and I am kind of exhausted)
  • Get to bed early (before 10:00) Got to bed at 10:30.
To fit in between the definites: Was way too tired and so sent emails to both of these people to touch base. Wednesday is the next opportunity.
  • NWC
  • P revisions
  • Figure out student loan repayments (should do this first since it is causing me the most anxiety) Began this process, next steps are to call and see what I can do about lowering my payments.
Home-things:
  • Laundry
  • Clean the bathroom (sweep, wipe down)
  • General kitchen tidying
Maybe:
  • Grocery shopping?
And as always, I'm sure there will be more.
Courage!

Find your "WHY"
I am choosing to finally start living for me. I am tired of coming in
last. I choose to create a life I can love, to be the person I am meant
to be, to work on improving myself so that I can do something worthwhile
with my life, and in the end, to help those less fortunate.

Be aware of end of day procrastination before when I should go turn in for the night, to push through my demand resistance at going to sleep, and be in bed by midnight for a deserved night's rest. Affirm to myself that I am worthy of good self care and repose.
To try to defeat the belief that the chronic tiredness from lack of sleep that I feel that is exacerbating my compulsive task avoidance and lethargy is what I need to avoid unpleasant emotions and feelings of loneliness that I am afraid might come up and  plague me. And have a week's good sleep to aid my recovery from chronic undersleeping.
And to try to gently work through any unpleasant withdrawal symptoms from any increased productivity today Tuesday as I move to recovery from my debilitating addiction to procrastination & compulsive task avoidance.
