WingArtist's Check-in (9/17/2012)

Apparently, I was going through some tough times because of college transitions, even though I got some great ideas to improve my productivity. I still need to deal with my parent's pushing on  my art goals, and try to explain her about this site properly without misunderstandings.

Anyhow, here's my plan:

  • Draw one drawing in 2 hours
  • Run around my old elementary school near me
  • Read Procrastination Equation

So wish me luck!

Dieing_to_live's check in 9.17.12

Checking in.

Get white shelves from shed

Clean out closet

Install shelves

Put clay oven & press on shelves

Put soap & scents on shelves

Put books (except TQ, meditation, jewelry books) on upper shelf

Put candle supplies on shelves

Put fabric & sewing supplies on shelves

Pack up sewing supplies in deco boxes

Use deco boxes to store extra beading supplies

Put spiral cutters on shelves

Put completed jewelry in large box - shelve.

And then again, all that may have to wait since I have to first get the cabinet I just emptied cleaned out and re-stuffed so I can make a path to the closet.

Geez! All I wanted to do was get my work area organized so I can get to all of my beading supplies without having to look in 2 different room ---- not re-organize the whole blasted house!

That screaming you hear is me.  >.<

Findingaway CI

Thanks once again for the thread starter, Mole.

The new week is starting. On the weekend I did some enjoyable recreational things, some housework and caring (adequately but no more) for my mother. I have found it very stressful having her staying here, not least due to space problems, but last night finally saw some connections with old, old stuff and why she still sets me off. I wish I had sorted some of this out earlier in life, thought I had, but here it all comes again :(

I will concentrate on doing my new list for the week and then working consistently on KP and TP projects, using chat box if needed. After lunch I will consider options to go to M tomorrow and ring JC if necessary. Will also ring DR and post/email invoice for M.

Wishing everyone all the best for the new week!

Salamander's check in - Mon 17 Sep '12

Thank you, O Mole, for starting our thread so ably!

Looking forward to making this a good week, and hoping I am not overscheduling. My intention is to begin this process by going to the chatbox for some instant motivation with microbursts (even if mine have to be smaller than other people's).

Starting at

  • Breakfast
  • Shower
  • Sign and prepare documents to post to accountant (Admin 15m)
  • Print out JS records (Admin 15m)

Then

  • Leave house (at 1230) at 1450
  • (Go to the gym!)
  • Buy more cat litter

Later

  • Washing up
  • Cook nutritious casserole/bake potatoes
  • Change cat trays

There is a ton of stuff here to do. I might be overscheduling. If so,  it is more important to my PA recovery that I go to the gym on Tuesday instead rather than get all panicky and feel bad.

Have already adapted list to exclude going to the gym today Monday. Will go on Tuesday when it will be the most important thing I do.

  • Phone up re bus pass on Tuesday.
  • Washing in, on and out again
  • Clean kitchen surfaces
  • Finish washing up

Be aware of end of day procrastination before when I should go turn in for the night, to push through my demand resistance at going to sleep, and be in bed by midnight for a deserved night's rest. Affirm to myself that I am worthy of good self care and repose.
To try to defeat the belief that the chronic tiredness from lack of sleep that I feel that is exacerbating my compulsive task avoidance and lethargy is what I need to avoid unpleasant emotions and feelings of loneliness that I am afraid might come up and  plague me. And have a week's good sleep to aid my recovery from chronic undersleeping.
And to try to gently work through any unpleasant withdrawal symptoms from any increased productivity today Monday as I move to recovery from my debilitating addiction to procrastination & compulsive task avoidance.

EleanorBE's Monday List

Thanks Mole - who cares about the font, great sentiment!

Here's what I need to do tomorrow

Get train

Cut talk slightly (on train)

Attend conference, give talk

Fill in claims form and give it in before leaving - no, will have to send it otherwise won't have taxi receipt!

If time in a break, look at SS information.

That doesn't look too bad - conferences are so much easier than real work!! Don't know if I'll have wifi to cross things off so may have to return to this on Wed.
