Lavida CI Sat. 9/15

Haven't checked in probably in a week ... feeling very anxious and depressed today.

Made great progress preparing for my eviction but now it's down to the wire and I'm not sure I'm emotionally prepared for losing this roof over my head. I'm glad to finally leave this place, after all the disappointments I suffered here, but still, it's unsettling.

Really don't feel like seeing friends tonight, even though some of them are helping me with the move. Grateful for that, but I feel like I just need to stay here and tackle the rest of my packing, which I'm putting off. I just can't get myself to do the closet or kitchen. Just sick of dealing with it! Will probably leave this to the last minute.

Anyway ... I feel very alone in my life right now and can't believe things have come to this. I hope God really does have a better plan for my life after this 2-year-long rolling nightmare of a bottom.

Lavida

Keep going

Lavida, you have already made so much progress (I see your updates on the checkin chat board).  You should be very proud of yourself.  Just hang in there; know and take comfort in the fact that many of your comrades in PA are on with you.  We have been there too. Keep going.

Take heart Lavida

Dear Lavida

This must be such a hard situation for you. A lot of work and an emotional severing of old ties - both good and bad.

My thoughts are with you as you  take your lovely self into your new surroundings. I hope this will soon feel like a new  beginning and one you feel some control over.

Take care,

Mole

mouse's check-in for Saturday, September 15th

First ever check-in. Comforting to be around those who also struggle with these demons.

Today:

  • Site work re: list I made yesterday.
  • Going for a run.
  • House cleaning.
  • Laundry so SO has clean clothes this week (I have probably about 4Xs as many as he does. Whoops.)
  • Self-care (aka shower, grooming).
  • Making dinner if there's time before SO comes home. (If this doesn't happen, that is fine, it depends on how long these other things will take.)
Update: So nothing happened today except for site work. Which is fine, because it needed to happen, and of course I didn't estimate how long it was going to take very well.

Courage.

today from Aria

This is what I have to do:

- Tidy room
- Install new printer
- Print an article I found
- Scan a lot of pictures for essay - don't yet know which ones...

It's 11:35. Going to start with the room part and as I am writing this I am already inclined to surf the net some more for clothes and check email three times.

OK, getting up from the chair.

UPDATE

Ok, it's 18:51 and only tidying up is done. But I've thrown an amazing amount of garbage and went through every little piece of paper in there, which is now nicely organised in it's own folder. This is probably the first time in my life that I've done this so succesfully. How on earth did I ever finish university? I also now have all my lessonplans in one place and sofa is at last free to sit on :P

And now I have to

- Pedicure
- Shave
- Make up

Get dressed and go to a wedding. I'd rather prefer getting on with my list.

ms check in saturday 15th

I am not sure if this is going to be in the right place, but....

today

  • record audio for work video.
  • rerecord audio.
  • make decison about best audio.
  • email this audio.
  • shower.

I feel sickjust writing these out. I know I will feel better once they are done.

Ok off to bed. Didn't do too badly today and after a few hours wasn't feeling so despertaly miserable about doing the work. I need to get up early tomorrow and keep going. This has helped thanks all. One thing. I did use food in a way that was unhelpful, I feel I should acknowledge that. tomorrow I will try to nurish myself and be kinder to myself.

Thank you, Mole, for starting the thread. Thank you Pro for starting the website. Thank you Higher Power for bringing me here.

Please do not comment here so I can edit it throughout the day. You are welcome to send me a PM if it is not distracting you from your journey. If you are interested in working with a buddy, and doing bursts, you will find me in the Chatroom if I'm online. :)

I have not yet been to bed, and it is now 4:00am. The house is a bit too hot for any kind of comfortable sleeping, and I cannot open windows since there are wild animals out and about -- the benefits of living in the country. HA! :D

Salamander's check in - Sat 15 Sep '12

Thank you for the thread starter, O Mole! Smile I would prefer not to have comments made on this thread here but would welcome general positive and encouraging thoughts sent through the ether at me. If you feel you have some helpful snippet to offer - and you can do it without damaging your own recovery - you are welcome to drop me a private message. Thank you!

I'm already off schedule after a bad night following illness. But I can jiggle things around...

Starting at 1230

  • Breakfast
  • Plan diary for next week
  • Program TV
  • Meds for Bo

1855: I've realised I'm still ill because I've got no energy/splitting headache. Now I'm trying again on another trio and will go for a microburst of time using the chatbox as my accountability partner.

  • Log on
  • Meds for me
  • Washing up
  • Sign documents and prepare to dispatch to accountant
  • Clean microwave with fresh lemon
  • Clean kitchen surfaces
  • Washing in, on and out again
  • Hoover downstairs
  • Dust downstairs
  • Admin (30 mins)
  • Change cat trays
  • Put away clothes in bedroom

Sunday

  • Try out repaired shower
  • Go out to get cat litter and cash
  • Take rubbish out
  • Call AE
  • Call DN

Whole day is hereby cancelled! I will see if I can manage to finish the washing up and then go back to bed. I'm not really well enough to be working on a To Do list.
