Back at it

Well, had a very productive day yesterday, for me, at least. However, feeling mentally fatigued today. Need to keep the pedal to the metal today thru Sunday.

Plan:

1. Next 1 hour 45 minutes on a long project that is perilously close to overdue 10:15 AM to noon

2. Scheduled meeting 12-1 PM

3. Work up to 1 hour on a brief report due today, *and finish it* 1-2 PM

4. Lunch 2-2:30 PM

5. 3 hours on long project 2:30 - 5:30 PM, *finish* interim report

6. Break 5:30 - 6 PM

7. 3 hours on current cases 6 - 9 PM

8. STOP and go home

Big emphasis today is on finishing one short report due today and an interim report due today. Need to continue forward progress on new work , but I think it's more important to finish these other two items if physically and mentally possible.

Back to report.

brd's Friday check in

  1. Finish expense reports
  2. Vendor application
  3. amex bills

Ok, I decided my work area needed a good cleaning, and better organization. I've divided it up into 8 areas - not counting the floor, which I vacuumed this morning.

Area 1 is complete - Took 30 minutes, and I had to make a mess to clean up the mess, which totally freaks me out. I need things to be free of clutter to think creatively, which admittedly, hasn't been happening very much for the past year because I live with a hoarder.

I have reached a full stop. I've gotten the first 4 areas cleaned up, dusted, and organized, and now I cannot decide to do with the next section.

I do beading, make jewelry, and am learning how to use a beading loom, but all of my supplies are scattered in 3 different storage areas - Two in my bedroom where I have to get things out of both cabinets, and the third area in my workroom, and I haven't touched those beads in months, because they are in a spot that is too difficult for me to reach easily.

I think I'm going to try moving the beads & supplies to Area 3.  -- Well, that went brilliant. Not.

The gods are laughing. Things are finally start to look like the organization might work. Don't know how my perfectionist self is going to like the set up though. Right now, I'm just not feeling it.

To try to defeat the belief that the chronic tiredness from lack of sleep that I feel that is exacerbating my compulsive task avoidance and lethargy is what I need to avoid unpleasant emotions and feelings of loneliness that I am afraid might come up and  plague me.
And to try to gently work through any unpleasant withdrawal symptoms from any increased productivity today Friday as I move to recovery from my debilitating addiction to procrastination & compulsive task avoidance .
