elvira's evening
Plans all disrupted by being ill yesterday and not going to my Mum's tonight after all.
But tonight I must prepare for my weekend away.

InnerTruth's check-in
My sleep schedule is screwed up because of my part-time job.
I've got about 4 hours to accomplish at least something today.

If you haven't read my updated reflection essay, go check it out in the Introductions and Procrastination Discussions Forum. It's worth a read and gives an insight of my future plans.
So here are my plans for today:
Dieing_to_live check in
(1) I need to finish my project sheet and product pricing today. (Updating as I am repairing/posting products in (2).
(2) I have a parts failure that affected 50 products.
I need to find replacement parts today.Product failure is reparable, so I am now fixing products.Working in sets of 10
50 remaining40 remaining
30 remaining
20 remaining

(3) I need to begin work on 2nd product line.
Well, I can't count! Either that, or I have seriously stored 30 products somewhere, and I can't remember where! ::jawdrop::
I will have to go through storage more thoroughly tomorrow, but if I'm done with repairs, I can now move on to getting products listed online.
Also, if I'm finished, I can start concentrating on more products. As of now, I have 22 necklaces, 22 pairs of earrings, 2 bracelets, and 3 beaded bags - Not a lot to start, but it IS a start. SO, I need to make 20 more bracelets, and 17 more beaded bags. I would also like to make 20 mandala broches, and 20 cabochan pendants. I think 100 products to put on my website would be a good start.
Break over, so it's back to work! :)
The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to
reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the
door to personal excellence.
Back under water
Haven't been here in a while. Still procrastinating, but thought I was finally doing better with my report turn around time at work, meeting stated company standards. Had a completely disconcerting meeting with the boss last Wednesday that was dismissive of my efforts, emphasizing that I was only meeting "minimum" standards.
I was flabbergasted, since failure to meet standards has been the issue I have been railing against since starting this job at the end of 2010. I was also cited for my lack of "leadership," and told that my future here is uncertain. This completely pulled the rug out from under me and I have been reeling all week, really struggling and falling farther and farther behind.
I am very stressed, but just have to make it through the the next couple of days and the weekend (working) to next week, when I am off all week and can try to get my head together. I have to pull out of this nose dive now and mop up later.
Plan:
1. Try to not get behind with any new work. LIFO isn't my preference but I don't see another option that will not perpetuate the problem.
2. Try to add in some old cases as I go. They are late already, and I have to stem the tide or this will continue to domino out of control.
3. Today spend 10 minutes per case, timed, then move on. Some will be trivial and can be completed or nearly completed in 10 minutes. For others, I can at least get the "flavor" and prioritize for later or order additional info I will need to complete, etc.
4. Work in 2 hour blocks, with mental breaks. Otherwise, I will start to flail after a while.
Back to report.

I have been thinking of you. May serenity come to you.
(movingalong)
Thanks for the kind thoughts.
(((4change)))
Sending you hugs! It's good to see you here again, though very sorry to hear what happened when you had put in so much effort. I wonder if the company's standards are realistic?
Hope the week off helps.
(findingaway)
Good to hear from you. Yes, I was expecting some praise, not denigration. Ah, well.
Dear 4change, Your story
Dear 4change,
Your story touched me. You have made such effort and progress and then to be put down. I can feel with you, this is one's worst nightmare.
Your plan sounds very good. If you can do that, you should be very proud of yourself. Hang in there. Then enjoy your break, not only worry.
(Jujo)
Hello! Thank you for your supportive thoughts. Peace to you.

3. dispose of 10 items of clutter
4. 10 lines of report delay email

10. print ticket
11. leave for event by 4:15pm

13. Be aware of end of day procrastination before when I should go turn in for the night, to push through my demand resistance at going to sleep, and be in bed by midnight for a deserved night's rest. Affirm to myself that I am worthy of good self care and repose.
To try to defeat the belief that the chronic tiredness from lack of sleep that I feel that is exacerbating my compulsive task avoidance and lethargy is what I need to avoid unpleasant emotions and feelings of loneliness that I am afraid might come up and plague me.
And to try to gently work through any unpleasant withdrawal symptoms from any increased productivity on Friday as I move to recovery from my debilitating addiction to procrastination & compulsive task avoidance .

Oh, curses! Another day without hot water. I hope my kettle will hold up to the extended service! And I'm thankful that my Higher Power didn't give me this to deal with during the winter when heating would have been affected too.
Today's list.
