procrastinate.

Have a great day everyone -

and please don't follow my example cutting up letters on bits of paper to see how many words you can make!

Welcome back katia!

good to see you here again :)

All the best with your study this year!

Thank you very much! :)

Recycler CI + 24 yr recovery anniv today

Hi!

6:30pm EST here. I could still do one or two more things tonight. Washing towels would be a good project. Let me see if I can get those started.

April was the last time I [thoroughly] cleaned the condo. Company coming Sept 21, BUT i will be in and out of town during the next week. I've done some things in cleaning up; progress has been made, but it is hard to tell if I am honestly on track or not. A good time for a PA check-in ;)

Sept 12, 1988, was when I started my recovery journey [re initial recovery, which was from codependency]. So I think that is 24 years anniversary today?

To celebrate, I am burning a favorite-fragrance candle.

Congratulations on the chips you hold, too!!! :)

Recycler

Thank you, gals & guys, for being here! :)

Kodos--3:30 check-in

Morning and early afternoon were half and half. Now I'm going to write for an hour and a half and follow my evening schedule from 5-10.

 Hope everyone is well!

4:20 check-in

Ugh. So. Hard. To. Write. Today.

 Deep breaths.

Okay, I'm going to focus on speed, not perfection. One page in 20 minutes, two pages total. Ready, set...go!

katia back in action

Hey everyone. I am back at school and have been doing alright. Probably because I haven't had any assignments due yet lol.

I need to start working on homework for serious though.

-AME- nothing ! :)
-Music- email prof about topic
-Optics 1- nothing! :)
-Optics 2- post question, LOOK at homework problems

Other things
-food for tomorrow?
-plan for tomorrow
-15 minutes of organizing.

wednesday update

So my plans went awry. . .my son has been sick all week and it got worse, so we took him to the doctor Wednesday night. By the time we got home it was 9 pm and I ended up crashing next to him (don't worry it isn't anything serious :) ).

But Thursday went pretty well- I got the entire physics problem set done on time to hand in. It was pretty under the wire though, so I am hoping to start sooner next time.

I also got 1/3 of my linear algebra set done, that is due 6 am Saturday, so I need to finish that up today.

frogprincess - 9/12/2012

I have really been struggling for the past few days to get anything done.  I was very sick and needed to sleep to recover.  The condition I have creates brain fog and I have been a mess.  I am behind on a school assignment. I need to improve my ability to focus so I'll do some brain training today.

Todo:

Lumosity brain training - 15 minutes

Decide what I'm going to use for my paper

Print out information I'm going to use

Create one good draft.

Submit the paper without worrying about how good or bad it was.

Plugging in.

So I logged in and went straight to the chatbox this morning instead of writing out first my plans for the day! :)

I have spent the past 2 hours loading photos, supply information, and pricing into my program, and spent my 15 minute break on sending someone information on clutter control.

Now it's time to get back to work on the supply list, which will most likely take the rest of the day.

I am working in 10 minute increments with a 15 minute break every 30 minutes because my neck and shoulder muscles are bothering me today. I'm also doing my stretching during those breaks.

=======

UPDATE: Completed entering supply list into software.

My next job is to price out products.
========

UPDATE for the night: 21 product entries took me all day, and here's why:

In trying to build a system that works for me that I can store online, I have to have 3 different filing systems- One for photos of supplies with details, one for photos of products with details, and a condensed, yet detailed pricing system for "grab and go" copy/paste to price said products.

I was working on all three systems at one time, which was almost my undoing! I was certainly getting frustrated with it, and I'm not yet finished.

It took me half a day yesterday, and half a day today to input all that into my program, which I am seriously beginning to think is WAY too complicated, but I am not going to spend time redoing it.

I also had to load photos - both supplies and products, and then break down the cost of products, which took me about 2.5 hours - 3.5 hours? (Not sure since I wasn't tracking time.)

Anyhow, I've got 6 products to finish updating, before I start on the next major step. It looks like I am not going to get to what I had planned for tomorrow, but this project has become much larger than what I imagined.

I will celebrate when I get my website up.

Mole's late check in

Well the day is nearly done. It is 5.30 and I have been away from the Internet.Much of the day spent negotiating transport busses and ferry, walking between them and beyond them (about an hour and a half walking on top of the same on transport) and a surgical procedure in the middle of it, but a lovely interlude in a gallery as a treat to myself. So not much roomf for procrastination or routine.

Good things achieved:

Took First step in organising awnings

Bought Fish for supper  (determined to eat better, make proper meals)

Found present for R.

Tonight I plan to work on some kind of master list so that I am not constantly in a state of wondering what I have forgotten.

Salamander's check in - Weds 12 Sep '12

Morning, all! Thanks to Mole for starting the thread today. A very SLOOOOOOW day.

  • Take acidophilus, vitamins etc
  • Breakfast

Bizarre! For some reason, until the evening, when the plumber phoned about coming to look at the boiler/shower, I was mentally blocked about doing anything! I am so cross that I couldn't see what it was and find a strategy to work through it. Or hand it over to my HP or something like that?! Talk about a learning process on all levels, and you have to identify the lessons as you go along!

I'll just have to do what I can do now and the rest will wait until tomorrow when and after the plumber comes.

  • Take rubbish out
  • Cook veggie stew
  • Clean microwave with fresh lemon
  • Clean kitchen surfaces
  • Admin (30 mins): especially prepare to post statements to accountant
  • Hoover downstairs
  • Speak to DN
  • Text AE/Text LS/Text AS
  • Radio Times

Tomorrow

  • Go for shower
  • Buy cat litter

If you plan to write a list, please press new comment and not reply because I need to edit so I can cross out things on my list.

 Thank you.

Welcome to "Overcomes"

Hello, Overcomes!
That's a nice name!

You are very welcome here!  So glad you are posting here with us.

What lennon meant was ... that we cannot edit a post if somone has replied to it.

But don't worry.  Most newcomers don't realize that.

I can see why you thought you should start posting at the bottom of the page.  But in this forum, it's backwards.  We add new posts to the top of the page.  I can see how that would be confusing! Many newcomers have been confused by this and started posting at the bottom.

To post a list, look for the greeting at the top of the page that welcomes us all to the day.  Sometimes it's just a hello, sometimes it's a quote, or a silly comment, or sometimes it's a photo.  You find that greeting a the top of the page, and then at the bottom of the greeting, press "add new comment" and that's how you post your own list.

Don't worry.  You didn't do anything wrong.  You are doing great because you posted two days in a row!

It's wonderful that you're here.  Please keep posting with us!

Oh! Now that your post has been replied to, you won't be able to edit it, but that's okay! Just reply to your first post with a copy of your first list, and then edit the copy. It will be fine!
