elvira's evening

Going for a brisk walk on the way home from work is really working well! It won't when the clocks go back and it's dark, mind you, but by then I hope I'll have developed an exercise habit that will carry over into something I can do indoors.
  • Exercise
  • buy fruit for lunch tomorrow
  • get pizza for tonight
  • read and deal with what came through the letterbox -
  • finish covering hatbox - nearly done, but need to wait for glue to dry before finishing
  • put more hats away
  • clear some more space on living room floor just did a tiny bit but many a mickle makes a muckle

late check-in

I've already done the most important thing, which was to enrol for my second year of Uni, although it took longer than I anticipated and made me late for my meeting. No hang on, what made me late was, earlier this morning, going for a longer walk than I'd intended to and THAT was a result of my people-pleasing a friend!!! I knew I ought to have gone home sooner!!!

Anyway, I have another service commitment to get to this evening so I'm just going to relax for a while with a cup of tea and recharge my batteries.

Nice starter again Mole :)

Findingaway late CI

lovely starter, Mole!

Just wanted to share that I finished my report Smile Smile Smile

Only one job but at least it's done!  And I 'only' stayed up half the night last night and some of the night before - that was bad enough too!

Things I have learnt from this:

  • since I logged my hours carefully this time, it was clear to me that I had underquoted - hope to avoid this in future
  • Pomodoro bursts of 25 mins can work well for me, although not when I'm really tired
  • I get stuck when either I'm scared of how someone will react to what I'm recommending, or that I don't know enough and someone else will notice

Something I already knew: I need to do more billable hours on work days.

Tomorrow is picking up the pieces of all the things I shoved aside while I was getting this done, plus maybe a little relaxation!

Thank you all for being here, and special thanks to those who supported me or worked in solidarity in the chat box - it was a life line!

Congrats to findingaway

:)

Congratulations!

Congratulations!

First things first:

  • Facebook and email
  • Wash and dress
  • Go to Post Office

1449: WOOT! First trio of jobs done! (Am still buzzing about how good it felt yesterday to get up to date on my three pieces of paperwork I was procrastinating about!)

So now, continuing to group things in threes.

  • Phone solicitor
  • Hoover upstairs
  • Do a load of washing

1617: Done that - all things I'd been procrastinating about. Next up this arvo.

  • Back up data onto external hard drive
  • Cook healthy and nutritious dinner
  • Take rubbish out for binmen
