LucyA's Tuesday Evening List

Hello everyone.  This is my first comment on this forum, so if anyone is still checking in at this hour, I would love some encouragement!  I don't mind people commenting directly; I'll just rewrite the list at the end.

My To-Dos for Tuesday Evening:

  • Do laundry for work tomorrow
  • Practice piano for 20 minutes
  • Shower
  • Bed by 11:00
One hour and forty-eight minutes to go!  : )

Tuesday Evening List: Conclusion

Well, I didn't practice piano, but I did do laundry and shower.  I'm getting to bed at around 11:45, which is a little disappointing but not awful.  I think the check-in did spur me on to do better than I would have otherwise.

Thanks mole for the appropriate starter as I have made a decision:

I am not using any money I earn to hold onto this place -- I will accept the eviction because it's time for me to get out of this haunted cave I've lived in for 6 years. This is God's will. I might have 2 weeks at most to pack up my crap and get out of here.

  • Post Office re CT goods and invoice

  • Speak to AA
  • Radio Times

1406: Hopeless! Fell asleep all morning (after a bad night) so that time has gone. Floundering a bit.

1801: Haven't done anything. Tired and grumpy. Feeling like a failure. Anything i get done now is a bonus. Am going to identify single next actions on all the above. And remember that tomorrow is another day.

Oh wait! I did spend some good time on an overdue jobsearch. That was good, albeit not on my lists, something I was conscious needed doing soon.

1846: OK, having a medicinal cup of Assam tea to focus my mind and then I will get on with cooking a healthy nutritious dinner. THEN I will come back to this list and see what may still be done today, most importantly, what most *needs* to be done. (I've been reading on the website to give myself inspiration so I don't fritter the day away just because I've had a bad night beforehand.)

2020: This day is not getting better. The prawns I defrosted were not good so I've binned them, which rather screws up my plans for dinner. I guess I can make beans on toast and that's healthy and quick. Am so dispirited.

2251: Have been busy, not procrastinating at all. But not completed more of my list than changing cat trays and Radio Times!

NB Tomorrow get cat laxative for T.

Finding a way CI

Good work on the thread starter, Mole!

Incidentally, Mole, if you are reading this, it doesn't have to be people in the 'early' time zones (mostly Australia and NZ) who start the threads. I read something you wrote in another post along these lines - sorry not sure where. Sometimes someone from a 'later' time zone will have already started the thread (much appreciated), but it is also fine to post on the previous day instead. I have done this a lot when I really haven't wanted to take the time to start the new day's thread. Just another option!

Back after a long weekend away with family in town. It was great to spend time with them.

Now must focus on project M, not much else that is important this week, but this must be done!

I started before 9 am and have already made my list for the week, happy about that.

Wishing everyone all the best for today! Smile

Yoh - Tuesday 04/09

It's already tuesday here, but I am going to bed now. I am posting this since I saw EleanorBE do it (day before) and looked like a great idea.

Today I got more or less my study done for my wednesday exam on a basic level. So tomorrow is exercise time. I really have to keep myself to that. It is the best way to improve and get ready for the exam, but I know myself, as soon as I start doubting myself I start reading parts of theory again.

So plan is doing 1 exercise of each chapter, 10 mins max per exercise, 15 min breaks in between complete cycles.

If I can update, I will with some sign for every exercise done. That's it! Practicing time!!!!

Good luck to all of you with your own lists, I bet doing it together, we can all get it done in the best way possible!

Not going good

Today is definitely not going as supposed to. Too much procrastination, practically no exercises done.

Will put laptop and phone back in car, apparantly I can not handle that responsibility or something.

Doing better

I was completely lost in my way earlier. Then put the computer and phone in the car, got some food and started working.

Have been doing my exercises finally until now. If I look back I get down about the amount of lost time.

That is why I do not look back but only forward. My exam is at 9 in the morning, so that is a bit over 9h time left (excl, time to get ready, including sleep). Let's make the most out of that!

Time to end the day!

The rest of the evening/night I still got some good work done. Better go to bed for a couple of hours now, then do my last reviews in the morning and go beat that exam! (or so I hope :D)

Good night all!

EleanorBE Tuesday

Great that this is up already. Don't know if Mole is in Australia or New Zealand or just keen to check in before the new day begins! I'm in the UK and it's only 10.15 on Monday night but I've just reposted my Monday list with things crossed off and I'd like to write tomorrow's before I forget what I didn't do today... Also I find it really helps me sleep well if I decide what I've got to do tomorrow and write it down. Otherwise I just wake myself up to fret about things.

So:

Make J's cake

Go to library

Skim through /all/ of Chapter 4

Continue with refs

Write down all books you haven't finished with by end of session

Check email to see if J/J/RM have sent me email addresses

Send email to TAs/TAcs

Go to station

Travel to S - on train,

- do E's M.O.

- read articles

Book in to B and B

Go to R3

If not too tired, write up R3.

Mole and the night before

I'm so so sorry Eleanor, I've just realised by replying l have kyboshed the possibility of you editing your list.

I am in Australia rather than an ultra early bird, but I absolutely agree with the benefits of writing a list the night before. It is calming and it means you don't begin agonising over list making at the start of a day - when you know that you ought to be getting on with something else.

Thanks Mole

No no, you haven't kyboshed it, I can just post it again and edit it under your message. Or under this one. I'm getting into the habit of doing it once, then again at the end of the day so it's up twice and I can see the magnificent difference between Scary To Do List and Unprocrastinated...Done List!

EleanorBE Tuesday - results.

E.BE xx

Looking good.

Don't know if you like comments on your lists, but it's looking good from here. Maybe that you got less done than planned, but seems like at least you started all your tasks and most got done too!

Keep up this spirit :)

Thanks Yoh

I love comments - thanks so much!

I just went to Wednesday too - GOOD LUCK with your exam!

RE: radio show

Mole, I managed to download the radio show because I was afraid it would be removed before I had time to listen. I don't know how legal this is because it is not downloadable through the BBC Iplayer software but for the reason that radio shows may contain music fragments and that they do not have DRM processes for that yet. So I'm not trying to push illegal content or something but if you (or someone else) are interested after it is deleted, know that I still have it.

Welcome Newcomers!

:)
