Journey 11 am

Almost forgot to check in - had a restless night with thunderstorms and terrified animals so overslept a little bit and got a late start, but not too bad.   I feel tired, but I've been to the gym, read email, made todo list and completed the first MIT.   I'll check in later if I get stuck . . .toodles.

Mediocre so far today but again not a complete disaster.  To improve I'll try to concentrate on more reasonably sized longer blocks and not let breaks go on longer than intended

Today's Goal

Today I am going to try and finish my writeups (that are kind of overdue) and e-mail them to a teacher.

I am a year and a half from graduating high-school, but I'm not doing well. It's actually really cliche, my situation is a real mess. It's getting to the point where I spend entire weekends doing nothing for school, and when Monday arrives, evading teachers making up excuses is what I do.

I'm hoping that Check-ins can help me... somewhat :((

9.20 am

A new week, a new start. I did something positive this morning, but then made a mistake which affects someone else. Nothing I can do now but apologise later.

I think I will try something different this Monday; usually I start by doing my exercise (bike ride) and/or making my list for the coming week. Unforunately just looking at the list can make me feel defeated. So today I will put together some details for a quote and do one hour's billable work before the list or the bike ride. Hoping that will give me a more positive start. I usually know in my head what needs to be done anyway; the list is just a way of keeping track of stuff and being able to cross it off when I've finished.

Wishing everyone all the best for the new week :)
