Procrastinators Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from chronic procrastination.
I cleaned up most of the kitchen - anything that might attract bugs. My back is killing me, I'm tired, and I really didn't feel like it, but the thought of bugs got me to do it. Now I'm getting ready for bed.
The pie (an edible looking one) is finally out of the oven, but I have such a mess to clean up in here it's unbelievable. And I'm tired and don't feel like it.
I did nothing all day and evening but make an apple pie. Actually two because the first one was inedible.
Something has got to give here. I'll be up half the night if I clean up the kitchen and then clean up myself (bedtime routine). I need to do the worst of the dishes to prevent bugs. Maybe I'll just crash on the couch.
I've found that I have good days and bad days, and that's normal and I shouldn't beat myself up too much for the bad days. Coming from a history where virtually every day was a "bad day", I tend to do that. But even anticrastinators are more productive some day than others!
I'm going crazy with this. The next pie went into the oven okay, but then I had problems with the oven, the fluted part of the crust fell off... Ugh... I could go on.
I had to take the pie out to fix the crust. Then I had to take it out again to fix the oven tray, which had gotten screwed up when I put the pie in. All the oven openings reduced the temperature. It's a mess. I hope it comes out okay, but I'm afraid it won't.
I can't imagine why I ever agreed to make a pie!! Actually, I think I suggested it. I must have been mad.
...my entire apartment is a disaster from all this. I've been throwing stuff all over the place. Everything that was on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator is not rolling on the floor (because I needed to chill the pie crust), dirty dishes everywhere, crumbs all over the floor.

I'm getting a very late start because I did the bad thing and had breakfast before showering, etc. It's just so hard for me to do anything until after I've had coffee and breakfast because I'm hardly awake. I'm half asleep and clumsy and I'm afraid I'll fall down in the shower.
But now I've lingered too long over breakfast and I need to get going. My back hurt when I went to bed and it still hurts this morning. I'm going to start doing Pilates again because it helps my back. So my next task is to make up the bed (converting it back into a couch moves it out of the way), and do my exercises.
After I finish my wake-up routine, I need to go to the grocery store and get cranberries (last thing left to buy), then make an apple pie for tomorrow.
I have gobs of things to do, but I'm having trouble sorting it out. Aside from the usual morning stuff, number one will be to make a list of what needs (and doesn't need) to be done today.
1. Morning things.
2. Sort clothing
3. Call in supply list.
4 Contact my customer about paying on his bill.
5. Work an hour on project "a" (Don't know what, just something)
6. Revisit the site and re-do my list in a couple of hours.
Things were going really well when a friend from out of town showed up and offered to take me to lunch. It was really nice. I got everything done on my to do list except for sorting clothes. The weather here was nice, and I can only guess what I may have accomplished otherwise. I suppose everything worked out okay.
I am hitting the road to Jacksonville, florida but I wanted to stop to wish everyone a happy thanksgivings. Will be offline until saturday when I get back to my dads in georgia. Much turkey and good eating to all!

What a productive meeting with friend all six hours of it. She is going to assist me in doing the legal/admin work. We have worked out terms, what she is doing, and when she is to be paid. It's work she has done before. What I often forget is that I don't have to do everything myself. I can employ people to help. Often I feel I have to do everything and then I don't do anything. Also I nearly procrastinated; I nearly said 'I'll let you know' when I had already made up my mind. Did I really need to spend a few days thinking and worrying about it?
pro's last check-in - 1:30am (THURSDAY!!)
My back really hurts a lot. I can't wait to lie down.

This pie better taste okay!!!!
the big clean-up
I guess I should start cleaning up in here, if I ever want to get to bed tonight. Ugh.
pie hell
The pie turned out bad, so I'm trying again. I'm sick of this. I want to go to bed. :(
Sorry to here that.
Plenty of ice cream will make anything fine.
yeah, but...
...so much work, so little results. If we were just going to have ice cream, then why did I waste this whole day trying to make a pie?
What bugs me the most is that the second pie went into the oven okay, but then oven problems may have messed it up. Maybe not - maybe I'll get lucky.
still working on the pie
I'm being very slow about making this pie. I haven't made one in a while. That's okay - I'm watching TV as I do it.
