Hi to all--I wish you a happy and productive May Day!

I'm continuing to experiment with noticing what helps and what doesn't.

= made or am making progress
Laughing = done or done enough

To Do: Helpful?: Problematic:

***meta:***
Laughing prioritize
bookending & check-in at P.A.
experiment w/ willpower, HB techniques, poss. incl.:
mindmap 1 HB technique I haven't yet tried
note works/doesn't items

***things I didn't explicitly count, at first:***
Laughing brush teeth and splint
Laughing pick clothes for the day
Laughing get something to eat
Laughing flip calendars
Laughing tape thumb

***before 13:00:***
Laughing shower, wash hair, dress, & shevel
Laughing scan job email
submit timecard
LaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughingLaughing 15 min burst: tk notes/draft M email
assess/ decide next acts Mon flagged

***before 18:00:***
Laughing 13:30 appointment, incl
Laughing get R's answer: non-Tue poss.es

***before 23:00:***

pay rent & storage (paid rent but still need to pay storage)
unld dishwasher
Laughing QG

***extra credit:***
10-min burst kitchen sink?
15-min burst: rsch next act tax prep
recovery-related reading/thinking?
read re google alternatives/flickr?
cook rhubarb?

food???

reward of picking out next monster to color? (colored it late in the evening--rather amusing)

Time outside in pleasant spring evening with camera was helpful for my general mood.

I find HB's 5 Things technique appealing, but what's the time window? If I
think in terms of before noon/18:00/23:00, I find myself leaving out
things that DO take time, like getting food, taping thumb, etc.

My usual disinclination to exert effort after Tue. afternoon health appointments was even stronger than usual. Perhaps due to implications of the news I got? Perhaps due to the nature of the work?

Photography time doesn't seem to engender any kind of productivity in other areas. But should it? Hm.

Hypatia's check-in

Good morning everyone! Still feeling fragile here.  I've agreed my catch-up schedule with my boss, and this morning is the first morning where time has been formally allocated, so I can't keep putting things off by doing other things.

  • check catch-up list and mark off completed reports
  • dictate reports (target is 7) progress not good.  had to chase lots of papers and only did one report.  Brain very sluggish
  • attend meetings - BCDT, Darren
  • check e-mails
  • do phone call
  • check development lecture
  • dictate reports
  • if free time, do some filing
