Made it back

I was gone over 5 hours for about a one hour procedure. It was really nice to not come back to unfinished work in my shop. It felt good to see it. Still have some tidying up to do in the house. I'll probably be back a little later, asking for suggestions for attacking large projects that have to be done over days and weeks, so put your thinking caps one please.

welcome back!

Glad to see you back again. I'm working on my back accounting, so it's good to have company.

When I buckle down, I get things done quickly. It's just so damn hard to get that momentum going. I can feel my attitude changing a little, even though it may not show in what I get done. I'm resigned to coming back to these issues again and again, trying again and again. That is new for me.

I never went out yesterday and I haven't been out yet today, so the next thing I'm doing is my errands.

Looks like I'm not going to get the newsletter done today (what a surprise). But at least I'm getting through the pile.

hey pro

good on ya for making progress on that pile!

the perennial pile

Thanks. I've been trying to not let the pile build up so it takes a whole day to get through. I was pretty good for a while, but then I let it slide. At least I'm through the pile part now. I just have a short list of stuff to take care of.

scarlett CI 2:50 pm

Not much progress, clearly. Each item on my list fills me with dread at the thought of having to make a decision or deal with potentially unpleasant fallout (mostly from having put things off, of course).

In a way, I'm procrastinating on doing the newsletter by handling the pile, but that's okay because I'm been procrastinating on the pile for a couple weeks.

The woman who hired me to edit a white paper last week sent The Big Boss the original white paper as the edit!! I called her, and had difficulty communicating to her what an edit mark was, etc. She asked me to re-send the edit. I wanted to cc: The Big Boss (so he wouldn't again get the wrong version), but she said to send it just to her. I'm afraid I won't get hired again because my edit somehow won't make it to The Big Boss. He thinks I didn't do anything. Augh!! :O

I did things in the right order again today - showered, dressed, made my bed, etc. - BEFORE sitting down to breakfast. My day goes MUCH better when I do this. So I'm sitting here drinking coffee fully dressed, instead of in my jammies and dreading my morning routine. I didn't take my pills yet because I get a little nauseous when I take them without food, but they're all laid out.

The big thing I want to do today is write and send out a newsletter for my business. There are other things I have to do, but this usually takes all day so it's the only thing I'll put on my list for today. I don't work well when I feel overwhelmed!

Working today around others

9:00 already, and I'm trying to come up with a schedule, as I'm taking an elderly relative into town at two for medical tests. Oddly enough, I sometimes do just as well when I have a deadline to meet.
1. Do the morning personal routine.
2. Work on cleaning the grunge spot on the floor which appeared after I moved my fridge. It may take a little work each day for a while.
3. Sweep and damp mop the rest of the house a bit (progress, not perfection).
4. Start on one end of the main project in the workshop, and keep going until I have to get ready to leave.
5. In the meantime try to find my id info for my pre-paid cell phone and buy new minutes--or lose them tomorrow.
6. Take a five minute clutter patrol through the house.
7. Make an errand list for town while I'm waiting for my relative. This should be better than banging my head against the waiting room wall for a couple of hours.
See you later.

see ya, Lark!

Have a good day. Look forwarding to hearing from you when you get back!

Cat upkeep

I'm glad I saw your cat-related post. My cat's pan needs emptied. They're such indepedent creatures it's a wonder they don't do that themselves. I've found there's a coorelation between the frequency of feeding them and the numbers of times the pan needs emptied. The more cats, the pan emptying increases geometrically.

Correlations

I've found a direct correlation between scooping the pan every day and needing to wash the sofa cover. When I don't do the first, I will have to do the second.

not a surprise

>I've found there's a coorelation between the frequency of feeding them and the numbers of times the pan needs emptied.

But of course! LOL :D

This wont help but

When I used to leave it they did indeed cooperate and empty the litter tray themsleves. All over the floor!

I've almost reached the "not sure" time and I've still a little to do with my figures (DA has a lot to answer for). I think bed is calling. I've a friend I need to email as we quarrelled a while back and we both want harmony and peace together. I've another who I haven't seen for years who is in town and wants to see me ( well she has a problem and wants to see me) it's not quite the same.
