Kim CI (better late than never?)

I'm trying to get in the habit of checking in in the morning.

If I can get through that hurdle of just getting out of bed before 9am and get in the shower, and look the part (even if I don't feel it) I feel like the rest of the day is a downhill battle rather than an uphill one.

Things I accomplished today:

-took my meds (some days I didn't really see the point)

-applied for jobs online

-bought litter for my cats (small victories)

-cleaned house (I find that I'm more likely to do it if I don't make into this a big ordeal; I give myself like 30 min. then say I'm stopping no matter what after this time frame and today that worked for me.)

I'm celebrating the fact that it wasn't a day that I slept in until the afternoon and stayed in my PJs all day....because since January, if I didn't absolutely have to be somewhere, that's what I was doing.  I thought I was doing myself a favor by "taking it easy" but I wasn't.

Thanks for letting me share!

Hi and good wishes to all!

This morning, I looked at the latest post from Havi
Brooks and she has something that might help me with today, the idea of
Everything is a Costume. So:

  • I am donning the idea-costume of being Someone Who Is Intrigued and Excited to Experiment Toward Meeting Challenges
  • And I am putting on the Honorary Sash of Being Comfortable with Having Complicated Emotions

Journey 10:30

Happy Friday.   I am still feeling a bit tired from giving blood so I did a short workout at home.   I've read email and dealt with an issue that presented itself there, made todolist, and checked calendar.   I have a business lunch, otherwise calendar is open.  Can I go home and go back to bed now?   Guess not.   I'll start with some easy weekly reports and then do project work in the afternoon.   See ya later!

Update 1 pm Back from an excellent lunch, and pleasant talk with a vendor.  I even ate dessert, and I feel wonderful now - I guess I needed the sugar!   Now I gotta count those calories, then work on Project M.
