I'm noting that my bedtime routine usually takes about an hour. I should always start around 9:30pm on week nights.

I should start my bedtime routine now because I'm tired, and I want to go to bed early and get up early.

  • Make and eat nutritious meal.

  • Take pills (dose 1 of 3). It's pretty late to be taking my first dose, but I haven't taken pills at all for days and I'm getting symptomatic again, some some is better than none. I'll be able to take another dose before bed.

  • Dinner with friends.

Can't wash the dishes right now. There's a high-pitched noise from the plumbing from someone else in the building running water. I can't go in there until they're done - hurts my ears.

I was too tired to do any more work, but I did make myself a nice meal, which I'm trying to do more of. Since eating, I've been reading. I should wash the dishes.

My spam folder is enormous because my spam tripled or quadrupled in the last week. I turned on the spam filter on the server end to reduce the flow in the future, but for now I still need to go through it. I don't know what caused this, but it's awful.

I'm VERY tired. On the plus side, I'll probably be able to get to sleep early tonight, and then I can get up early tomorrow and get my hours back on track.

I used Microsoft Money to send the invoice. I recently switched from Quicken to MS Money, and I still don't completely like Money. I switched for technical reasons - would like to switch back, but can't.

I was offline Monday and Tuesday (out of town), and off-earth on Wednesday (total escapist procrastination). Today I'm back in the saddle, more or less.

I was depressed yesterday and didn't get to sleep until nearly 5am. At 7:10am my next door neighbor woke me up by slamming shut her door when she left for work. I've asked her not to do that - is it so hard to close the door quietly?

I finally got up at 10:30am - not a very early start to the day, but I had to get SOME sleep. My morning routine is done and I just finalized an edit. I want to get my sleep thing sorted out so I can get up earlier. I'm tired today.

scarlett the heart on wheels is so cute. I just woke up was up most of the night getting advice from sister #2 a social worker. She lives in different time zone and worked with me on stuff until 3:30 am God bless her but to get up and see your graphic tells me to get rolling I love it.

I just want to be more "with it" today

I feel like I had some "slips" yesterday, and came close to not posting for today. Wrong. I "got out of" helping someone I said I'd help, so I apologized and re-scheduled for his next day off. (being accountable). I installed my light, but forgot to get bulbs, and I cut my wood mouldings wrong which I planned to put up. When things like that happen, I'm too focused on me. Today...
1. Do a morning meditation and reflection.
2. Do something for someone else--better if it's done anonymously
3. Get light bulbs and new wood mouldings. Install!
4. Pay electric bill.
5. Finish one section of today's project in the shop, and put it aside
to dry, instead of picking all over it (old approach).
6. Take 5 min. to sort out housework.
7. Take 5 min. to just pick out "junk" items from cellar.
8. Start on list of supplies for next project in shop. (must call in
tomorrow morning)

Better

6:05 PM
Today was better, except I forgot my light bulbs when I went to the hardware store. Still spent $16.00 on "other stuff". Sometimes I'm a total airhead. My cleaning didn't make a dramatic difference, however. I'm getting ready to varnish my mouldings, so I can take a rest from that project. No opportunity to do a good turn for anyone, so that'll be on for tomorrow.

I love hardware stores. I often spend money I didn't intend to spend when I go in them. I don't know why browsing in a hardware store is so much fun for me. :P

Lark you are doing so well

I love reading your post because I am a hoarder and in a big battle with my house, to see you doing house work gets me inspired even though my journey is a long decluttering one.

I spent yesterday evening doing reseach and putting together documents so I slipped on my house stuff for yesterday and have a rollover list. Yet seeing your post made me make sure to post to even before I start morning routine. Thanks

sounds like you've got a good plan for today. meditation is a wonderful tool, one that i need to use more.
