At each moment, I can forgive myself and make a new start.
We'll thrive if we are given the freedom and encouragement to try again.

Show up (done) Look at calender, basics.
Surrendering everything I am and everything I am not. Hp I need help.
Single goal today
I have been working on catching up at home on long neglected domestic tasks. I have made some progress. Now, before the weekend ends, I have come in to work with only one real goal: to finish an extremely overdue big project that I have been afraid of since day 1. Bit by bit I have inched closer to finishing, often with long interludes of avoiding it altogether. I honestly believe that a couple of hours should be enough to wrap it up, but it is so hard. There is no way I can make it amazing. There is no way I can make it so impressive that it will somehow make up for the delay. It is time to pull the plug on it and move on. That is the only "victory" possible at this point. Had I not been unrealistically ambitious to begin with, the result could have been just as good, without the overlay of tardiness and implied slackness of effort. Back to report.
Gwen D: 12:51 PM
Hi all. I suppose I'm circling my tasks by even showing up here. Sleepy on a rainy Sunday since I was up til 3 for the second night in a row. I know there is work to do, but I am in denial. As evidenced by not eating today yet.
I need to complete the newsletter. I've been ignoring it while the client went out of town. She might be back ANY second.
Okay. So, get up, get dressed, have coffee, eat! Then set up the white computer, and just open the file! Do that before 1:45 PM today. I am giving myself 50 minutes.

X I have a coffee-less headache.
X I am hungry.
This is prettty dumb.
Still...Thanks, PArs for being here. I'm gonna try again.

There Is No Such Thing as "Have To"
The serenity and insight, which we gain from this program, help us realize that we do not have to do anything. There is always a choice. We may even choose not to live.
Our lives are gifts from our Higher Power, and the choice of what to do with them is ours. We can continue to procrastinate and watch our illness get progressively worse. We can isolate ourselves from other people and console ourselves with distractions that don't advance our lives in the direction we want to go. We can do as little as possible each day just in order to survive.
We do not have to follow the program; we also do not have to procrastinate. We do not have to turn our lives over to God; we also do not have to continue to bear the burden of self and self-will. It is a proven fact of experience for countless people that the most satisfying thing to do with the life given to each of us is to give it back to our Higher Power to use as He wills.
Thank You for my freedom.

Appreciate that tracy-la!
Great adaptation. Feels like my demand resistance gets dismantled by knowledge of my freedom.

Didn't do any practice. That's NOT ok. If I wanna reach my goals, I'll have to do better than this. I have spende almost ALL day in front of the computer and goofing at the piano, which is of course o, but not if I use it as procrastination. I might start writing in my practice schedule again. Besides, I have rediscovered a website that I used to spend way too much time on, and I'm already back in the old habits. Tomorrow, one of my goals will be to make only one check in at that site!
