Tuesday !
"There's no time to lose",
I heard her say ...
"Catch your dreams
before they slip away!"

wrkinprogrss: 10/18/11

Today, my big priorities are:

1. Make significant progress on (and ideally, finish), the next-most-important big multi-part task in comment incorporation.
2. Wash hair.
3. Be on time for chiropractor appointment.
4. Reply to K re possible upcoming lunch date.
5. Do at least 15 minutes of Qi Gong.
6. Do at least 10 minutes of journaling about what might help me to get to bed earlier.

Bonus points for paying bills and mailing the payments. (did dry cleaner errand, too, and shelled peas, and caught up and all-but-balanced checkbook)

Courage 10/18

1. Continue PP and supervise production (DONE)

2. Email response to GL/CZ (DONE)

3. Make sample for TW (DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE)

4. Assist in G project (NO)

5. Start draft letter to PP (STARTED THE FIRST FEW LINES)

6. Make shopping list for Sepohra (NOT DONE, DECIDED NOT THAT IMPORTANT)

7. Research gift ideas for mom's Bday  (DID)

Sleepwalking

Often when work I am anxious about doing (and trying hard to avoid doing) begins to pile up, I start feeling very sleepy. It appears to be a psychological response to feeling overwhelmed, and ties in with avoidance of the stress inducing activity. Well, have to hew to the simple schedule and have faith it will eventually sort out. In the meantime, though, it's quite annoying, as I find myself nodding just as I am trying to make some headway.

Goal 1: 30 minute work blocks x 3

Goal 2: Lunch for 30 minutes

Goal 3: 30 minute work blocks x 6

Goal 4: Work on overdue big project up to 30 minutes x 4

Goal 5: Dinner for 30 minutes

Goal 6: Go home

Goal 7: Work a little more on cleaning kitchen

Goal 8: Try to just relax without a specific task; not something I am good at. I tend to be actively engaged in a task or actively procrastinating and avoiding it. Just "being" is hard and makes me nervous. Something to work on.

Goal 9: Lights out by 10:30 - 11 PM.

Back to report.

re: sleepiness

i have that sleepy thing too.

Journey 7:30 & update

Thanks moving for starting us out with that Ruby Tuesday!

Yesterday sucked, productivity-wise.   I didn't get started until noonish because of the sick dog, so I only worked about 4 hours and I probably got one hour's worth of work done during that time.   I was exhausted, upset over the dog and the broken dryer, and just could not concentrate long enough to get anything done!  There was also a lot of chocolate in the house thanks to my husband so you can imagine how that went.   I gave up, stopped work early, made a very quick and easy dinner, and just went to bed.   I do feel much more energetic today, although my stomach is upset from eating too much chocolate yesterdayTongue out.

Today is a new day, and I made hubby take all (well MOST) of the chocolate to work with him.  I'll pick myself up, dust myself off, and get to work.   I am going to make my todo list, then exercise at home with a video, then start checking off those items on the list.

UPDATE 6:15 much better day today!  Dog is better, dryer is still broken and now it's raining here so I can't hang out clothes.  But I got enough clothes dried outside yesterday that we can make it until the weekend.   I got a sufficient amount of work done today, although I notice I am avoiding a lot of paperwork.  I am behind on the paperwork with my management's blessing because of the huge project - but now I really do have time to work on and it I'm not doing it.   Tomorrow I will block out 2 half hour chunks to work on horrid paperwork task #1 and horrid paperwork task #2.
