Today I have a HUGE amount of work, so I'm scared to even start.

Thank you hope4meandu

I think that I make my life very complicated by putting things off rather than dealing with them.

Journey 7:30 am those FROGS do fight back don't they?

Happy Sunday!  I have a day off tomorrow and my daughter is coming for a visit.  Today I need to make food for 4th of July party at my s-i-l's and do some general housecleaning, bathe the dogs, clean the big bathroom, and color my hair.

Now I'm going to take the elderly doggies on a short walk, then go for a long walk/jog by myself.  When I get back, I'll have some breakfast, take a break, and get started on chores for the day.

CYA L8TR

Update 1 pm The doggies and I are both exercised and I had nice convos with two of my neighbors on my walk, and also had a visit from my son and grandson.  I've just finished bathing the dogs and now taking a break before cleaning the bathroom.  When the bathroom is clean, I'll color my hair and then take a nice relaxing bath.  Not too relaxing though because I still have to make a cake for tomorrow's party.

Rexroth Check In

Oh dear - I was too ashamed to check out yesterday because I still had not done the letter that I had been putting off for a long time. Woke after nightmares about all sort of anxieties.

Done:
Up prayer and reflection
Weighed myself and have lost about two pounds which is fine
Decided not to go to church in order to write the letter
Wrote the letter - it took two and a half hours and was simple once I started - actually it was not simple it was very complicated but because I knew the subject it was easy

Todo:
After a rest check and email the letter as an attachment, put the files away and forget about it
List stuff I am avoiding - this I doing after my anxiety dreams on the grounds that if I face things I won't be worrying about them
Phone friend re tent etc
Prepare for meeting to swap French/English conversation
Make list for the week

Regards Rexroth

Rexroth Update

Done:
Sent the letter as an email attachment and put the files away
Listed things I am avoiding - the list is not complete and I shall add things to it as they occur to me
Phoned friend twice - he had phoned me this morning so I'm not sure what is going on
Phoned another friend for a chat
Prepared for meeting with French speaking person tomorrow - I know what I have to offer and what I want to receive
Made list for week which seems not to be complete and I'm not sure why
Read account of person who did the same trek as I intend to
Relaxed with a glass of wine

Todo:
Clean clear tidy there is always something else to do
Look over todo list for going away - I want to be ready in good time
and what else I don't know...

Regards Rexroth

Finding a way check in

6.10 pm

Thanks for the starter, Rosebud!

My Sunday is nearly over but wanting to regroup before the weekend ends. Have done some of the things I planned for this weekend - others have not happened due to others or the weather.

Happy I have started back with piano - determined to keep that going now.

Tonight I would still like to:

  • do full set of exercises
  • put dry washing away
  • do handwashing
  • do some mending
  • do some sorting of papers
  • spend a bit more time with new camera
  • ring my mother
  • do dishes
  • make decision re meeting
  • have an early night - 11.30 pm and didn't do everything

I think that will do for now.

RED MEANS TO DO      GREEN MEANS DONE

  1. Got up
  2. Bedroom window
  3. Made coffee
  4. Unloaded dishwasher
  5. Started reload dishwasher
  6. Follow up computer
  7. Wrote 1 mail
  8. Started this list
  9. Get up from computer
  10. Have breakfast and meds
  11. Let out cat, let in cat, fed cat
  12. Wipe some surfaces (again and again and again)
  13. Sweep some floors (ditto)
  14. Make my bed
  15. Fixed kitchen cabinet door, with help of DS. A little oil on the links did the trick. Hadn't closed well for a long time, but now it works fine. BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT!
  16. Wet clothes into dryer
  17. Another wash load started
  18. Cleaned 3 large shelves in kitchen (greasy). BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT!
  19. Put on comfortable stay at home clothes
  20. 2 telephone calls
  21. Small tidy up downstairs workshop
  22. Tidy up work after dinner  (kitchen improved, but always more to do in there)
  23. Begin to *think about* clearing surfaces for paperwork: Now ongoing. Goal: 45 minutes. So far done 15
  24. Update: I did at least 1 hour, maybe 2. Spent a bit of time looking for a file. Was so very relieved when I located it!!!
  25. More laundry  work: Unloaded dryer + more wet laundry into dryer and started
Very contented with how the day went. I did waste some time, but the GREAT thing is that I managed to start the dreaded paper work. And that happened mostly - because I found a workmate in Chat! She left shortly after, but then I was already on a roll.
