Tuesday 11.30 am

Thanks for the starter, Rexroth.

Monday was a public holiday here so just starting back into the working week.

Not a good start today at all, but will persevere.

To do (minimum):

  • 1 hour on M project
  • lists for this week
  • ring re meeting tomorrow
  • prepare for meeting - tomorrow
  • call S - tomorrow
  • call R - tomorrow
  • exercise - use as break - going to do in 5 mins
  • library - use as break
  • call J (evening)

Journey 10:30

Still having laptop problems, and I'm limping along on a loaner pc.   I have 4 meetings today so I won't be sitting on the computer all that much anyway, and I hope mine will be fixed before the end of the day.   This one will get me by though.

I was a few minutes late to work, but it didn't matter much as I worked over the weekend AND I knew I wouldn't have equipment when I got here anyway.   I'm not expecting to get a lot of real work done today but I will go and make a todo list and see what I can squeeze in between meetings.

Ian's checkin, to-do list, daily renewal

Today, I'm going to put my shoulder into it and work the tools that have worked for me before. Even though a large part of me wants to simply dissociate, stay in a fog of vague intentions and time-frittering behaviors.

First is to run through my daily renewal (http://bit.ly/gIXrq3). Then I'll add a to-do list here.

Scribbler's Monday CI 8;16 a.m.

Thanks for the starter, Rexroth. Again my checking account is overdrawn. I made some money playing music over the weekend, but not enough to cover the deficit. Unless a check arrives today, which is possible, I'll have to take what amounts to a cash advance on a credit card. And in two days I need a large sum for estimated federal taxes. Grrr! It's easy (very) to blame this situation on the client that owes me $10,000 and is way past due. In truth, I've contributed greatly, as have uncontrollable circumstances. Blaming won't help. What will help is getting to work (including calling some people who owe me money)...

TGIM
Show up (done) so good to be here! Trick today is use paper calendar. My calendar. I had found something that worked before, but now is in my computer' frozen. No problem. Something I heard on e radio, which I hope to practice in my brain today. "when you miss a turn using a gps system, it never says, turn around, go back 3blocks and turn, or it does not say go back home and start over, it says, "recalibrate" and goes from there. So today I plan to "recalibrate" my mess and go from there.thanks for being here.

Hypatia's check-in

good morning!  Thanks for the starter, Rexroth.

Last week was a bad one.  Had a row with husband yesterday about procrastination.  He's severely disabled, but there are some things I'm sure he could do if he put a bit of effort in, like typing the occasional e-mail.  He seems perfectly capable of typing messages on Facebook!  But basically all the chores fall to me, which is a bad thing to happen to a procrastinator.

I started this morning bright and chirpy, but after tackling e-mail box no 1 I'm already wilting.  Anyway, here goes....

  • check e-mails
  • urgent AH letters (at last!!!!)
  • two reports for this week
  • comment on minutes
  • comment on protocol
  • clear out old e-mails
  • afternoon meeting
  • phone call re mobility scooter
  • phone call re ramp
  • clear intray

Admin work of which there is a lot
Contact friend over his admin stuff

I feel very unhappy with myself this morning over what I have not done and the mess I am in as a consequence. The answer is simple but not easy. I need to get on with things and get them done.
