My heartfelt thanks to all my fellow PA-ers on this website. I'm still struggling, but the struggle is so much easier with others alongside me to share support.

findingaway late check-in
Tuesday 12.15 pm
Thanks for the starter, Hypatia.
I am having something of a relapse today. I slept in late and am somewhat depressed. Although I haven't posted here for a while, I worked fairly well in the chat box yesterday and did OK on the weekend, so today is a bit of a surprise.
Have done a few small jobs - have decided to be more gentle with myself today and see anything done as an achievement rather than feeling I must do the toughest jobs.
Before lunch I will exercise and do 15 mins on the M job. After lunch I will plan the rest of the day.
Thank you all for being here.
(((betwixtful)))) very much relate to your post
I'm not a good advice giver, but I'm really happy you are here and sharing!!!!
Also sending kind thoughts ((((4change))))!!

Midday paralysis
Did pretty well yesterday. Got a good bit done, left at 9:45 PM instead of my intended 8:30 PM, but did have a half hour phone call from my kids in there, so no complaints from me. Got to bed at 11:30 instead of 10:30 PM, but managed to stay off the computer at home. All good.
Today is a different story. Have been bombarded by multiple stimuli and a bunch of new cases. Suddenly, my cool, detached (well, by my standards, anyway) demeanor of the weekend has been replaced by feeling overwhelmed and paralyzed.
Need to trust and go back to the formula that seems to work reasonably well for me. Work in 30 minute blocks, and steal a page from Vic's playbook and try to keep my mind in the moment, not everything else waiting.
Goal 1: Work 30 min x 2
Goal 2: Lunch 30 mins
Goal 3: Work 30 mins x 7
Goal 4: Evening meeting 5:30 to 7 PM
Goal 5: Work 30 mins x 3
Goal 6: Leave at 8:30 PM
Goal 7: Bed by 10:30 PM
Back to report.
Haven't done this is awhile
The me when I made my account and the me now is not very different. I haven't improved much.Honestly, I want to change. I pride myself on my empathy but at the same time I don't care about myself, or rather my future. There are times when I feel very ambitious and passtionate but that's when I know that things are in reach. I'm not a person that can overcome much adversity I suppose.
I'm gonna get kicked outta my economics class if I don't turn in anything today. 5 assignments left. That's all, but it's the same old problem. I just can't start.
I'm not a very open person, but I still feel the need to be. So the anonymity of these check-ins are nice. But I still feel uncomfortable hitting post when I finish typing, if that makes sense.
I don't like making these lists. I never finish most of it. I tend to get unrealistic. This will probably be too.
5 economics assignments
5 american goverment assignments
5 liberal arts assignmnents
no emotional eating. starting now.
I've been stuck for a week. prob more...dunno how well I'll do.
wb betwixtful!

Journey 10:30
Happy Monday! Traffic was atrocious this morning and I had to get off the expressway and wind through town, and I was late to work. But so was everyone else, so no one notice :) I got here at 9:45, 45 minutes late.
So, now I've had coffee and read email, and making todo list now. I did work a bit yesterday so I have a head start on a few things. Back after to do list.
Update 11:45 MIT #1 of 7 complete. #2 is a lunch meeting and I'm headed out to do that now.
Update 1 pm #2 of 7 completed.
Update 4:30 3 of 7 completed - #3 took a lot longer than planned, and my daughter called all upset because she's having a dispute with her insurance company. I've gotta see if I can find her original paperwork from the insurance company somewhere in the black hole of her room at home.
Anyway, I'll finish as much of 4-7 as possible
Update 5:20 #4 & #5 done - didn't do as much as I planned, but I did some work on them. Quick pass at #6, and then #7 is an errand I have to run on the way home. No lower priority work got done today but that's ok.
