Today I can growl back at fear and let my light shine.

Thanks to PA member "chickadee" for today's threadstarter idea.

After a long day....

I still have some things to do.

Hi. I'm back now and although procrastination did affect me the time I was away. I managed to get important things done. I'm looking forward to taking more advantage of this Web Site and control my procrastination to balanced level.

Positive vibe

Had a good, limited work session yesterday, that allowed me to make some progress on non-work things. Today decided to stay at home and work on the overdue financial paperwork for my attorney. Made some progress. Didn't finish, but don't feel bad about it. I have now come in to work for a while, and will work until 8:30 PM, then leave, so i can get a few more things doen at home and go to bed early. Doing fairly well controlling stress this weekend. Will try to keep the positive vibe going as long as I can into the work week. I do not want to have unrealistic expectations, but not being stressed out all weekend for a change is a plus.

Goal 1: 7 x 30 minute work blocks

Goal 2: Leave around 8:30 PM

Goal 3: Do a few things at apartment, go to bed by 10:30 PM

Back to report

Agnus 4pm

Today is J's 65th bday!  I'd love to actually celebrate it joyfully, giving him my full love and attention, but that could happen only if I were miraculously, retroactively cured of compulsive procrastination.   Instead, I have an overdue work project to complete by COB Monday and I will be working the rest of today, and all of tomorrow, and I'm praying NOT to work compulsively through the night too. Obviously since it is already 4pm I've already spent much of today avoiding starting.

God, please grant me the honesty, open-mindedness and willingness I need to face my fears and begin this work.  Free me from the bondage of self, that I may better do your will. Take away my difficulties, so victory over them my bear witness to those I would help of your power, your love, and your way of life.  May I do your willl always!

Happy Bday J

and good to see you Ag!

Journey 10:30

Happy Sunday!   I didn't check in yesterday cause I was at my granddaughter's 2nd bday party (see link below for a bad blackberry picture lol)

http://www.flickr.com/photos/40052143@N06/5800252712/

I worked last night but only for a couple of hours midnight - 2 am.   Slept until 9:30 and so far I've just been sitting and mainlining coffee to wake up.  I was planning to take a walk but it's already very hot out there and I think I'd rather spend my energy on housework.  That's exercise too right?

I'm going to make a fairly easy todo list.   I want to get ahead a little bit on work email and kick off some batch jobs that will set things up for tomorrow's project work.  I have the usual chores to do and I want to do a bit of organizing as well.  I'm gradually getting the closets/cabinets etc. organized and cleaned.   We've lived in this house a long time and we've collected up a LOT of junk, and it's disorganized junk.  But I also want to manage my energy so I'll be ready for work tomorrow.  Yesterday was a very busy day and I need some recuperation time too.

Sooo, off to make that todo list and then have a nice healthy breakfast.

11:45 I'm clean and dressed and I had a nice wild blackberry smoothie.   Working on chores in 20 minute pomodoros with 10 minute breaks.  You know the thing about forcing yourself to take breaks is that you spend your free time on stuff you really want to do rather than waste it on surfing the internet or whatever.

Now: laundry, which is boring, but I'll listen to my audiobook while I do it.

Please do not leave advice or comments.  Thank you.  Prayers welcome.

I am asking for the Higher Power's protection and love right now.  I must maintain a state of prayer.  Higher Power, please keep me safe from my own ill-thought out actions.  Higher Power, guide my words, my thoughts my actions.  I am praying that I have the rent for this month, and that I can remain here.  I pray that I am healthfully supported and have a job here.  I also pray that I can rightfully resolve and communicate with peope in authority, including teachers, future or current bosses and sponsors.  Please, prayers are welcome.

Thank you.

Also, just wanted to say thank you to the HP, for my interview going well on Friday and for getting to speak with my sponsor last night, even though I wasn't sure if I were up for it at first.  Thank you for allowing me to speak with my social worker who clarified to me that I am still eligible for FS, which is very helpful to me.  Please allow me to continue to take positive actions.
